Kai had her 6 mo apt today and she is a BIG girl.

24 lb and 27 and 1/2 inches. People hardly believe me when I tell them shes only 6 months old.

That must be ridiculously large for a girl. DS at his 6 month was 22 lbs, 8 oz and 28.5 inches, which was 97% (for a boy!) for both. He had a head start since he was over 10 lbs and over 21 inches at birth. Some babies are just big.

Just had his appt today; he was 19lbs and 27 inches long.

He was under 7lbs at birth, so it's great growth.

I wouldn't say ridiculously large....yes, she is big but she is poportioned as well. She packs one hell of a backache, but I love her to much to even really care about that.

I am glad to see my DD is not the only one that is not 20 lbs. She was 15 lbs 6.7 oz. We started solids too so hopefully she will chunk up a little big. Not really worried about her because she is growing along her growth chart. DH and I are not really huge people either. I am 5'2 and H is 5'9 or something like that.
