When does nesting kick in?

I have never been a cleaner, thanks to my wonderful fiance I apartment actually gets picked up.  I have had two days off and figured I would use them to pick up the house.  It is now 2:00 on my second day off and I haven't moved off the couch.  When will the nesting instinct kick in?  Our apartment is a mess.

    I didn't have a nesting instinct with ds#1 and I don't have one now! I tidy up now and then because I live with 2 sloppy boys, but I don't go crazy!!

    Our doula mentioned with all three of her kids, the urge to get everything super clean/organized hit her 1-2 weeks before she went into labor. I'm always kind of a clean freak, so I don't know if I'll notice anything out of the norm or not.

    It hasn't really hit me yet.  But then again I am lazy as all hell when it comes to cleaning a house...I do it but I seriously procrastinate.  I'm just going to hire a cleaning service about a week before my due date.

    I nested a little a few weeks ago.  I'm not working right now so I sit on my butt all day long.  Sometimes I clean a room, like the kitchen, or sweep the floors, but rarely all in the same day.  I guess I'm afraid if I get too much done at once, I won't have anything to do to keep me busy/entertained the next day!

    This is my mom's gift to us once baby comes...she remembers being too exhausted to clean & thought that this would make the best gift of all. (And I don't disagree with her - I hate to clean!) lol

    Oh, your mom is right on the money with that gift!!!  DH is not on board about me hiring a cleaning service, he feels that is something we can do without paying anyone.  I beg to differ!Stick out tongue

    With DS it started at 35 or 36 weeks. This time around it started at 34 weeks. I am in the thick of deep cleaning, reorganizing, and finishing little annoying house projects .... and actually am enjoying it!
