Prego? Offensive...why?

I don't really like prego or preggers, but since I type KU because I'm lazy and it seems easier than PG, I can't really judge.

Based on your interesting responses in this thread OP, I have a few questions.

1) How do you feel about Golden Corral?

1) Golden Corral? The restaurant? Never been, but I've heard there is a buffet, so I'm up for anything.

2) Not into sharpies...hate the way they smell

I don't personally find it offensive or stupid. FWIW, prego was slang for pregnant for 2 or 3 decades before Prego the spaghetti sauce came into being.

Prego as slang = 1950's (annoyed I can't find the link now, but there was a site linked at one time on this board which traced the use of the term prego back to the 50's)

Prego the sauce = 1981

Maybe someone already brought this up, but I'm too sleepy to read through 4 pages of comments lol.

I actually dislike the word pregnant, it sounds ugly and awkward to me....doesn't roll off the tongue nicely.
