I started the mess so I'll try to finish it. I asked the question because I didn't understand. I felt attacked. Then I realized I was misunderstanding a lot of what I was reading. I do not think anyone is rude just because they don't agree with me, promise. Ummmm....I will continue to say prego because I think it's okay. I probably will not spell everything right.
I do need a tougher skin on this board, good criticism actually .
Is there anything else I can clear up? Geez! I should read, think for five minutes, then reply

Haha, that's the spirit! Stick around. You'll get the hang of the board.

Since you asked, how about an apology for calling us all rude when the reading comprehension error was on your end.
FWIW, if someone in the future comments on your use of the word "preggo" in your posts, you may not get offended.

In fairness, you asked the question. I also read your earlier post in which you used the word, and I thought regular posters were pretty kind in pointing out that others might not like it-- all with the intention of keeping you from being snapped at. I agree with you that posters around here can be pretty persnickity, but you wanted to know why. You were told that "prego" sounds juvenile to some-- that is why.
I agree with the PP who said that "AF" sounds similarly juvenile (as opposed to "period," or, if you prefer acronyms, "MF" or "MP"), but it is, for some reason, the preferred term. I've always found that curious, too.
What does MF stand for?
I think AF is quicker to type, so is PG for pregnant. Just like FI for fiance back in The Knot days (I didn't really understand that, but I just roll with it.).

My first though was " mother fvcker" and " my ***", but I think she means " my friend" which is as stupid as " aunt flo". So why not just continue with AF because it is easy to type, OP of this statement.

Actually, my point was only to agree with the earlier poster who suggested that AF (shorthand for "Aunt Flo") is, while quicker to type, just as juvenile sounding as "Prego," "Preggers," or the very strange "Baby Dancing." I meant "MF" as menstrual flow. I wasn't suggesting that folks actually should using different acronyms, just agreeing that we're a little inconsistent in our use of specific language vs. silly colloquialisms. Just an observation-- not a criticism. We're all adults, and can call our periods whatever we like. (-:

I see your point. I am more annoyed with how all over the place the OP is in this post, any was not meaning any snark towards you. IRL it is always my period and have had to stop myself from saying AF because of being on this board too much!

Seriously!!! Not crazy! haha! Exhausting. I made a mistake. After I had a chance to really read and comprehend....I did ask the question, I overreacted, and we are all adults and can call whatever, whatever

Ok, this HAS to be mud! But just in case.. OP, using words like prego and preggers makes you sound like you should be on 16 and pregnant. Like oMGZ I'm totes prego!! See how that sounds? To me it sounds immature and uneducated.
i personally don't really care for the word preggers or prego but i have to admit that its used in the media ALL the time. in all of the gossip magazines and talk shows, people are using preggers everywhere. it doesn't surprise me that people that haven't posted on here would use that term to describe pregnancy because it has become such a commonly used colloquialism.
