I thought I had been feeling the baby move for at least the past 2 weeks. It feels like "pop pop pop" in my belly. Right where I find the baby's heartbeat w/ my doppler.
I told my mother this and she said "that is just your imagination, there is no way you are feeling the baby yet."
I was disappointed. What do you guys think-- am I wrong? Or is my mom?
Re: Too early for quickening?
It's very likely. I've been feeling baby since week 13 - and it's definately baby not gas thankyouverymuch.
As far as anyone bursting your bubble like that - don't listen to them. Seriously.
I was almost 18 weeks when I felt baby move. Very subtle feeling. Like a bubble pop or soft flicking.
I wouldnt dismiss it. It could very well be baby
i felt movement when i was 14 weeks
and it was the baby!
it will get stronger and u will just "know" when its bubs moving...
its an amzing feelikg tho so dont listen to your mum if ur sure that bubs then i prob is!
I asked the OB yesterday if it's possible that it's baby for me as well. He told me it's absolutely possible. It's a great feeling isn't it?!?
Just think, if this is your first, the next time around you can possibly feel the next one even earlier.

I started feeling the baby right before 16 weeks, it felt like a flutter/muscle spasm. I burst my own bubble, until the girls at work told me that it was most likely the baby moving.
Just stay on the look out for it and it will become one of the best feelings in the world!
