How much solid food is you LO eating at one sitting?

I had been doing 1/3 of a container of baby food whenever I feed DD her baby food. But a few days ago she ate 2/3 of one and then last night she ate the entire container of bananas. It just got me thinking, maybe I was not giving her enough all along. Maybe she is big enough to eat that much solids. Plus usually she takes at least 4 oz of formula right after. How much solids does your LO eat?

Their main source of nutrition should be formula. You're basically just getting her used to the tastes and textures of solid foods right now.

My DD will eat a whole container also if I let her. but for now I only give her a 1/2 a jar.

I would feed her the formula first and then whatever solids she wants after that. That way you know she is getting the nutrition she needs from the milk.

I breastfeed and am doing baby-led weaning. I always nurse my DS right before, but then offer him his solids. He will eat everything I put infront on him if I let him. He is only supposed to be eating for practice right now, so I try to only give him a tiny bit. I give him a few small pieces of softened apple or just a small chunk of banana. I actually had some leftover today and took it away and he got SO MAD. That said, this is all new to him and I would rather he not get constipated.
