My dad: Also social worker. He is the Midwest regional director for a small company that sets up and supports cities' delivery of community-based mental health services for former residential patients.
My FIL: Was a UPS supervisor (retired), now he works for the city as the guy who deals with all the recycling.
My dad worked on printing presses, that is as much as I ever understood. He is retired now.
My mom did daycare out of the house until she couldn't stand the parents anymore, and then worked part time retail. She is now on permanant disability due to emphysema (smoking is bad mm...kay)

What do/did your in-laws for a living? My FIL had many jobs. Most notably he was in Sales and before that he was an Engineering Professor. My MIL made wedding dresses.

My dad: is currently unemployed, has managed a car dealership for 15 years but was laid off a year ago, and he's now trying to open up his own small car lot.
My FIL: Does something with computers at a large company. Not sure if he's a programmer, or what, but he has a pretty good job.
