I'll order off the kids' menu (if it's not pizza or chicken fingers), ask for a half-portion of an entree or get a side he can eat (like veggies or a sweet potato). If none of those are an option, I usually share my food with him -- but I don't have food restrictions and Zack will eat almost anything.

To be honest, though, we rarely go out to eat anymore. With Zack so mobile and energetic, it's not a relaxing meal, and I hate being stressed in public.

No, I bring food for him and I order him a grilled cheese. Every time. He's picky. I'm lucky/happy if he'll eat a jammy sammy, a puree pouch and a half of the grilled cheese.

Depends on the restaurant and their kids menu. I don't feed DS chicken strips or anything fried and hate to pay $5 for a hot dog so either i give him something I have to get him soup or take food for him....at least a veggie and yogert or sometimes a peanut butter sandwich. That way he can finish in the car too. Especially since sometimes he won't eat much.

DS doesn't eat enough of anything except bread for us to order his own meal when we're out, so either DH or I will order something to share with DS.

No, either DH or I will order something that LO can eat too (not too spicy, hot, etc). The times that we have ordered for him, it goes to waste b/c he doesn't eat enough of it.

The big kids always get their own meal. They are 3 and 5. I haven't bought DS his own meal yet. I just usually split mine and or DS1 (he doesn't usually eat all) and MH if he got something DS2 can eat.

I usually bring things like puffs, cheerios, fruit cups, crackers, etc. in the diaper bag for DD. I try to get stuff that I can share with her.

A few times I've ordered her a grilled cheese or something off the kids menu, but there is so much left over I feel like it's a waste.

We usually order her something from the kids' menu. But when she was younger, DH and I BOTH would order something LO could share with us. That was just our rule. It's not fair for you to be the only one who shares.

DS hardly eats anyway, so I'll just give him some of my food to play with and bring his snacks too. I do have to compromise in choosing my entree sometimes, but it's okay.

Depending on the restaurant, I'll either order her something or I'll order something that she can eat from my plate. Although my DH is very conscious of ordering something that she can eat too. We also bring food with us from home for her to eat too.

we rarely go out, since he is pretty fussy all of the time, but we have to special order off the allergy free menu for him due to his dairy/egg/nut/seed/etc allergies...thats another reason we rarely go out to eat b/c you never know what food has touched what and i dont want to risk it.

We eat out a lot still. Depends on where we go how we order. If it is cheap enough or a free night, we order Cedric his own meal. If it isn't then we either order our food so that he can share some of ours, or we will order him a side dish for Cedric. He drinks water with his meals unless a drink comes with his meal (if we order one).
