Do all DHs forget things like mine? Vent inside...

Ugh. So beyond frustrated with him. I just screamed in front of my girls and I never wanted to do that :-( He forgets stuff all the time, like stuff I told him 3 minutes prior. And doesnt clean things unless I throw fits. I need more help with the house and keeping the baby stuff clean.  I have worked my a$$ off all flu season to keep these girls healthy (they are at high risk for RSV and insurance denied our vax b/c they weren't preemies) and still have to ask him to wash his hands when he gets home from work. And then today he threw away something that was so important and I finally lost it.

Grrr. I know these things probably sound lame to you girls and know how lucky we are to have these beautiful babies, but sigh....

I'm frustrated. And of course tomorrow is my bday and we have a date tonight. I am in no mood to hang out with him.

    I'm sorry sweetie. My husband has the worst memory ever. It's super annoying. I don't understand how he can be so absent-minded.

    You are not alone at all. Mine will even go so far as to say I NEVER told him rather than he simply forgot... makes me nuts. Sorry you are so frustrated, RSV season is so nerve-wracking .

    My DH will say this exact same thing!  He is right on half of it though, he didn't forget because he never heard it.  He wasn't listening to me or he was tuning me out (responding without listening to what I was saying).

    In our case it's not a matter of him forgetting...he just doesn't listen to me. He tunes out 99.9% of what I say to him...it's an ongoing source of contention between us.

      good work!!  ;)    I think i have finally started to buy into the "I just don't notice these things, you need to tell me" line that he uses...somehow he doesn't notice when the trash is full, or the dishwasher is clean and needs to be emptied...

    grr!!  

    btw, happy birthday!  I hope that you are able to have a good date tonight with him!!

    Ah yes. I have the same problem.

    Mine never puts anything away. Ever.
