No matter what my stomach is never happy (TMI)-Help!!!

So on the weeks that I don't feel sick to my stomach I have never ending diarrhea. No matter what I eat. And if I don't get diarrhea I still get a really gassy stomach. Keep in mind I'm not eating a ton of foods that caues this such as fruits and veggies.

Monday night for dinner I had half a chicken breast, salad, pasta roni, and garlic bread. A few hours later I was running to the bathroom.

Tuesday night I was not in the mood to eat much so I just had a pb and j sandwhich.

Last night I had a bowl of cereal, a banana, and a little ice cream. I woke up with a HORRIBLE stomach ache around midnight.

This has been happening since I became pregnant but it seems to be off and on. And it mostly happens at night but not always.

I've read that it is probably caused from the food I am eating..like some bacteria but I'm always eating different things and now matter what this happens.

anyone else have experience with this or know what is causing it?

TIA!!

  • I would guess hormones.  try going on an anti poo diet of bananas and rice!  just for a day or two and see what happens.  could be an infection and the right answer is probably go to your dr!

  • I know the feeling. I have IBS so until I found my triggers I was like that all the time. I couldn't leave the house cause I needed a bathroom close. Hopefully for you it's just pregnancy hormones and will settle down. Best of luck. If it keeps up for a while, talk to your doctor. Also, make sure you replace your liquids and electrolytes.

  • I have IBS, and this sounds similar to what happens to me.  I eat, then have horrible pain and have to dash to the bathroom.  Fortunately for me, pregnancy seems to actually be helping my symptoms, but I know that isn't true for everyone.

I would definitely call your doctor - you don't want to get dehydrated.

  • I'm not a dr, but a lot of the stuff you're eating is causing gas.  Bananas, I'm guessing the cereal had fiber in it, and ice cream always make me gassy.  The salad and garlic bread probably made you gassy too.  I ate a lot of Tums with my first pregnancy.  I'm the same as you though, I always seem to have a sour stomach no matter what.  A lot of gas is due to being pregnant.  I just wish I could go to the bathroom, I think it would resolve a lot of my problems!

Maybe eat something lighter before bed.

  • You had butter and ice cream the two nights you got sick.  Maybe its lactose intolerance?

    SURPRISE! Here comes #3!
  • I don't think its lactose intolerance. I have cereal everyday. Sometimes twice. Idk what it is I guess i'll find out next week when I go to the doctor. :)
