I have a horrible sinus thing going on that is painful. I saw the ENT and talked with my OB nurse the other day and they said Tylenol is OK (level B for PG), Sudafed (C) and Benadryl (C).
I don't want to take the above day after day, but this *&%^$ sinus thing isn't going away. I'm a nervous nellie as I've had 2 MCs in the past year. I don't want to do anything that causes risk. Also, during the first MC I was sick and took an antiobiotic that was supposed to be OK during PG. I don't believe that's what caused the MC but am nervous to take the next step with a different "safe" antiobiotic out of fear.
Anyone else go through this? Anyone else continually take the above meds and feel safe?
Re: Sinus Pain - Tylenol, Sudafed & Benadryl
I think you'll be ok with any of those just make sure you drink extra water. You don't want to make yourself miserable and not take anything, it's not good for the baby either.
Try taking a warm shower or some saline nasal spray too.
On a side note, whenever I get a sinus infection, I find that crying in the shower does wonders.
I take benadryl SOMETIMES, but i don't find it helps my sinuses much. I took it last night cuz my arm is all swollen up like a bug bite from my flu shot.
