my mouth filter is going to need cleaned out

It's getting more and more difficult for me to keep my mouth shut at work.  I work in an emergency room as a clerk.  A 16 y/o proud in her 21 month year old...yes, you read that right...this morning for vomiting and "gunk in her eye". 

I couldn't find the little girl in our system by the birthday she was giving me, and I kept asking her to repeat it thinking I wasn't hearing her right...oh yeah...wrong birthday...completely wrong.  And then I asked who her ped was...the mother said, "Well we  were going to Dr. A, but we're trying to get her in to see Dr. B."
Me:  Soooooooo who's her ped?

"Mother":  Well, Dr. A won't take her anymore, because they said I  missed too many appointments, so I guess she doesn't have one.

SERIOUSLY!??!  SERIOUSLY!?!?  Ugh.

    Because it's LIFE!  It's REAL!  People don't realize this, but it's true! 

    Our first baby of the year was a 17 year old couple.  Nice, huh?

    I find that so sad.  It's too bad that all you have to do to become a parent is have sex... you should need to pass a competency test, or be licensed or something.  Give that stupid B!tch the mother of the year award Confused

    LMAO.  

    i also think that there should be a committee to veto names at hospitals before you put them on birth certificates.

    I have said it before BFP and will continue to say it... I think people need to fill out an application before reproducing!  I would have had trouble biting my tongue too!!!!  I don't have a filter anymore!

    Sometimes you need to be blunt! I have difficulty with that too at times when I'm assessing a teen or an adult who is suicidal because they got something taken away from them or lost their job because they looked at porn on the work computer! I also agree that people should take a Parent Competency Test before conceiving,, they have to do something similar to adopt somebody else's child but to not have your own. That's why parents also need to talk to their children about sex, and what the reality is when they are pregnant. I feel sorry for the 21month old to have a young mother like that,, she should have put the baby up for adoption.

    All the more reason to be a "mean" mom and give my child Reality Discipline, not take over their responsibility, let them fall when they need to so they can get back up and become wiser..
