blood blister on nipple

My DD is 18 months old, so I am surprised to be having any problems.  I am on vacation this week, so she has been wanting to nurse more often.  What should I be doing to help this heal?  I didn't even get this when she was a newborn.

    I got one within the first couple days after DS was born. I used lanolin cream but only about once or twice a day because he didn't like the taste and wouldn't latch on unless I washed it off first (which is a b*tch and caused more pain than what is was worth to put it on in the first place) and the blister healed in a little less than a week. I don't know if it would heal faster if you used the lanolin more than I did?
