1st sonogram…. No yolk sac but had a heartbeat

We had our 1st sono today. They said the baby measured 7+5 and that it had a good heart rate of 151, but in the sono report they reported the yolk sac as unseen. Should I be freaking out?

I live in a small town where Sonos are done in the hospital and you see your ob later.

It will be something your doctor will probably look into, but try to no stress too much about it before talking to your doctor. If there's nothing else of concern, you'll might just have to do another ultrasound a bit later to look for the yolk sac. It might have been too small to see at that point. The presence of a good heartbeat is a good thing. I wish you the best!!

thank you! We went today and I asked and she said it goes away and she’s not concerned at all. So 🤷‍♀️ whatever as long as things keep plugging along I’m happy.
