Hello everyone! Despite the newb status I am not a nest/bump newbie. This is just an AE I have created so that I can start posting on this board. I started out on the knot back in 05, then moved to the nest when I got married, and the bump when I got pregnant and had my first child in 09. I am very close with several of the ladies on my local board and none of them know I am currently ttc. So I created this name so I could post over here anonymously.
I'm sorry in advance if this question gets asked regularly. Google isnt being very helpful, and I don't have anyone IRL to ask since no one knows that A) I am TTC,
I was pregnant in Nov, or C) that I had an early m/c at 5 weeks on Dec 3rd. My cycles are 26 days long (or were before the m/c) and we started ttc again right after the bleeding stopped on Dec 8th. AF should be due on the 29th and usually I start spotting right at 2 days before AF starts, which would be today, so far there has been no spotting so I am trying to figure out if its normal for your cycles to go right back to where they were before a chemical pregnancy, or if I can expect AF to show up right on schedule. I know everybody is different, but of those of you who have had early m/c's or chemical pregnancies did your body bounce right back? or did it take a while for your first post m/c to arrive?
Thanks, and sorry again for the newb question. ![]()
Re: intro and ? for those who have suffered an early mc/ chem. pregnancy
I don't have experience with a chemical pregnancy, but I wanted to say that I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you can find support here as you TTCAL.
I know with my first m/c, my first AF was a little off (I started on CD31 instead of CD28, it lasted HEAVILY 4 days instead of 5) but then my second AF was more like 'normal.' Hope this helps!

My cycles are never exact - 28-33 days is normal for me. I've had 2 c/p's, with the first I got pregnant again right away the next cycle, so AF never came (unfortunately that ended in a m/c too, but I had to have a D&C). I had another c/p this November and the next cycle I had a 15 day LP.
I really think that having a c/p can delay your cycle or not, everyone is different. Or you may get AF on time, but just not spot in the days prior. I am sorry for your loss and good luck in your TTC journey.
I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't have a CP, but I did have two early losses.
For both my m/c's, it didn't take too long for AF to arrive. However, my first cycle post m/c was different, I O'd later. I found my body regulated itself and became "normal" again after that first cycle post m/c. Some people though find that their cycle changes completely and they establish a new "normal".
I hope AF doesn't take too long to show up for you so that you can establish what your cycles will be like.
Do you chart? If you do, and you know you O'd, maybe consider taking a test if you run past your regular LP. If you don't chart, you might consider taking a test sometime next week.
HTH. Good luck!
