Screaming while on back

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months

DS has started to scream (like we are trying to feed him knives) whenever we put him on his back, like to change him.

He is also screaming when being put to down for a nap/bed. It's so heart breaking, I'm sitting hear listening (and watching on the monitor) him kick and scream. But he is so tired, I know he is. He fell asleep for about 10 mins in the car. I brought him in, changed and nursed him and now he won't go to sleep in his crib. It makes me so sad to watch and hear him.

Any advice?

    It's probably that he's just fussy but you might want to pay attention for signs of an ear infection just in case.  They sometimes have pain when laying down flat.

    Is this just recent or an ongoing thing?  Has he had a cold recently?  Both my kids had the same reaction when they had ear infections.

    mine does too and it drove me nuts... then i read somewhere that its common and to keep a toy where you change diapers.. this way your ds/dd will be thrilled playing with it while you change diaper.. the first few days, it worked like a charm.. now it doesnt but i just ignore dd and laugh at her when she scream bloody murder and then she laughs back at me..
