How much is your 1 week old eating?

Miss Piper is chugging down about 3oz of bottled breast milk, and then maybe 10 mins on each boob after that during her night time feeds. During the day she has been cluster feeding about 5 mins on each boob every hour (we don't offer bottles during the day) I feel like her night time feeds are HUGE for a 1 week old, her pedi is impressed as well.

 How much is your brand new babe eating?

H:  Azoospermia (Sperm count zero).
MFI Urologist all test normal.

    When DD was about a week old she was eating about 1 1/2 ounces per feeding.

    My thoughts are that your baby is too young to know to stop eating off the bottle even if they are full.  They might be keeping it down, or spitting you didn't say.  But mine even if I gave a bottle, would want the boob to comfort.  So it seemed like he was eating so much.  The bottle fed him but didn't provide him the nursing comfort so I continued to nurse him to calm him.  Basically saying don't worry if your LO wants the boob after a bottle.

    The hospital staff told us to give her 20 ml of formula.  I was trying to breast feed but I have a lazy girl and she would never latch on and would end up falling asleep so I just started pumping.  The nurses said to keep giving her 20 ml so we did for a few days but she still seemed hungry so we went up to 2 ounces at a time. Sometimes she would eat it all and sometimes she would eat an ounce of it.  LO is now 10 weeks old and sometimes she only wants 2 oz still but then I was told to feed on demand
