How many ounces are your 4 month olds eating during the day?

I BF in the mornings and evenings, and at night. I pump 3 times while at work, at DD gets 3 (4 ounce) bottles at day care. She's there from 7:30 to 4/4:30. She eats7-9 times a day total.

The day care teachers are telling me that she gets very worked up for 5-10 minutes after each bottle, as if she's still hungry (crying, trying to nurse on the teacher's face, etc.). This is worse on Mondays, but is better the rest of the week. I rarely give bottles over the weekend, so I wonder if it's a Monday thing. Maybe they're feeding her too fast? Or maybe I should just start sending more?

When anyone gives her a bottle at home, she takes 4 ounces just fine. Yesterday we had a snow day, and DH gave her a bottle in the am. She only took 3 ounces before falling asleep.

Thoughts?

My LO has three 4 1/2 oz bottles while at daycare, from 6:30am until 4ish. I nurse him in the AM when he wakes up and 2-3 times in the PM/AM stretch. The daycare workers were telling me that he needed more, early on. I found that really hard to believe because he was already at 4 oz per bottle, and that was all we had ever given him when bottle feeding him at home (and it was always fine). I think what you're experiencing is a daycare bottle feeding phenomenon. With their feedback, I upped our feedings to 4 1/2 oz and also spoke with them about how to better feed him (slowly with breaks). He is very content throughout the day, but still kind of acts up for a minute or two after his feedings. I talked with them about how to use the pacifier and that has also helped. He's just likes to suck.

My DS takes anywhere from 5-6 ounces of BM when he has a bottle. He primarily nurses though and only gets a bottle a few times a week.

i nurse all other times except for the 3x she eats while with my mom during the day. she takes 4.5 oz bottles at approx. 10,1 & 4.

Jackson takes 3 6oz bottles while I'm at work. I give my sitter one 9oz filled to add to the 4 oz as needed 1-2 ounces each time. Sometimes he's eaten a 5oz bottle and then wants another small bottle about an hour later.

we do one bottle at nite, and occasionally when running errands or when i know it'll be harder to BF, but dylan normally gets 6oz

LO eats about 5 oz BM each bottle at approximately 8am, noon, 4pm, 8 & 11:30.

My ds has 3 bottles (5-51/2 oz each) while at daycare. He's there from 9am-6pm. He's 4months, but on the big side.

DS was getting four 5oz bottles from 7:00am - 4:00pm. I just increased it to 6 oz this week hoping to get him to go longer in between feedings (he's still at about 3 hours).

We just went up to 6oz of BM when they have bottles. They only get bottles 2 days week when I work and occasionally if I'm out. They eat at 7:15, 11, 3, 6 and 8.
