Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Did you know TJ Maxx had baby toys? I didn't...

...until today!  I got all of DD's Christmas shopping done in one stop today and spent about a third of what I normally would have.  In addition to the toys I found an 8-pack of Calvin Klein onsies for $10!  She also got some new soft-soled shoes and a few other outfits.  I couldn't be happier with my find and thought I'd share the news!

  • Isn't saving money exciting?  I have actually bought quite a few books for DD from TJMaxx & they were super cheap.  What type of toys did you get?

I love saving money!  We had a set budget for what we were going to spend on DD this year and now we have extra to put into her savings account!  We got her some learning-type / interactive toys.  Most of them have buttons you can push that say the letter / number associated with it.  She's too young for the "reading" part of it obviously, but she loves the lights and sounds (I took her with me lol) and as she gets older we can start teaching her about the numbers and such.  I also got her three board books to read to her.  I can't wait for Christmas morning!

Yup, so does Ross and Marshall's.  I buy a lot of items for the kids (and pets) from those places.  :)

I've never been a big shopper for myself, so I never paid attention to which stores had what.  I initially went in looking for a sweater for my mom and came out with all stuff for DD!  I ended up going to Penney's for my mom's gift.  There should be a brochure in new-mommy kits that tell you where to find good deals!

LOL Definitely!  I have a Ross within walking distance of my house.  It's dangerous to my bank account.  I can't resist all of the good deals!  I do a lot of back-to-school shopping there, too :)

Ooooh yeah that'd get me in big trouble.  I see it as saving money....DH see's it as spending more than we would have because of the "great deal."  Although, we all know he's wrong Stick out tongue

  • I love TJ Maxx! we don't have them here, but we got a few things for DS the last time we were in the states.

We have Winners though and it's the same company, although they definitely have better deals at TJ Maxx. But I just bought a set of musical instruments for him yesterday for $12, so Winner's isn't all bad. :)

Good find!  I loved looking around in there.  I had to really edit my basket by the end of my "browsing" session because Lord knows DD doesn't need 15 toys that all do basically the same thing!  lol
