I just wanted to introduce myself. This is technically only month 5 of trying, but thanks to my very accommodating DR we had my husbands semen analysis done last week and low and behold, it's not bueno. I don't remember the exact numbers, aside from 4 million sperm, but the little swimmers were under performing in all 3 areas, by a lot. Fortunately the group I use as my OBGYN is also very well versed at infertility, but they only recommend ONE urologist in the entire state. Needless to say, he's booked out until the end of January. In the mean time, I'm still charting and have a 6 month follow up with my practitioner in early January... We're both only 28 years old so we're in good shape age wise to have things brighten up for us.
My husband was pretty devastated to find out the news, and I'm concerned it may affect his performance when I do ovulate at the end of this week. It only takes one little swimmer, right? He does struggle a bit from ED (it's definitely a mentality thing, when he's feeling pressured, or we haven't done it in a while) which can be a cause of infertility too. I'm just glad to be able to find a group of women where I can be somewhat anonymous and open about feelings.
I'm doing fairly well with it (as there is some relief I am not, as far as we know, infertile) but had a pretty good cry after I got my period at the beginning of this cycle. It's sad to think we have to wait longer than we expected, but good to have at least one answer. I'll mostly be a lingerer as I don't have a day job that allows me to check in very often, but thanks for all of your answers and support in advance!
