Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

something i hope no mom ever has to go through ever again.

we lost maddie last week. Today should have been the start of our 28th week. We went in for a normal u/s and appointment and the tech couldn't find a heartbeat. My heart stopped. I am heartbroken.

I gave birth to Madalyn Janice Nov. 30, 2010 at 0310. She was 10.7 oz and 9.75 inches long.

no outward signs of problems...we will see what the autopsy shows--if anything.

my hubby is doing ok...i'm just numb. and i can't figure out how to get that counter thing off my page.

i don't ever wish this on my worst enemy.

  • I just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss.  I am also new to this board.  I just had a miscarriage yesterday. I have found that talking to my husband (and another friend who had a miscarriage last year) about my pain has been most helpful.  I also think that reading the posts on this board will help.  Hopefully you will find this to be true too.

As far as getting the "counter thing" off your page, I assume you're talking about the pregnancy ticker in your signature?  I removed my ticker by first clicking on "my bump"; then clicking on "edit my profile" and removing my pregnancy ticker from my signature box.  I hope that helps.  If not, hopefully another poster will have some advice.

  • I am so sorry for your loss! I empathize with you, I've actually been saying the same thing about not wishing this on anyone. Great minds, eh:)

You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss.  I have found some comfort here as well as on faces of loss and from reading an exact figment of a replica of my imagination, but of course nothing makes it go away.  I'll be thinking of you and your husband.  ((hugs))
