My stepdad pisses me off

My step dad has always had a way of putting everything on my mom when things get sucky. They lost a ton of money in the market now and are struggling. He's on her a$$ about everything and even attacked (verbally, not physically) my 10 yo sis this morning when she started defending my mom (as I always do).

I will kick him in the neck if he makes my mom upset.

Just so you know, I love the man but he does things like a brut. MOFO

  • Sorry... sounds like he doesn't handle stress very well.

LOL- "kick him in the neck"

  • I'm sorry. It's sucky when people who don't deal well with stress take it out on other people.

I always love your "kick him in the neck" responses! Which self-protection class did you learn that trick at? I don't even think I could get my leg up that high anymore!

  • My dad?s like that too. I love the man, but he?s such a chauvinist it?s maddening! He does the bare minimum, everything is expected of my mom and everything is her fault. Ugh, I know it's a cultural thing, but we live in the US now!! It drives me crazy. And it?s driven my mom nuts too. Literally, she?s on meds! And in the past few years, she?s begun to defend herself more and not put up with his BS, and he?s all upset saying she?s changed. Well, yeah, 30 yrs of putting up with your BS, yes, she?s changed. But they?re codependent so it will continue.

I feel bad for your little sis. I was in that boat, always defending my mom and my dad would always lash out at me. Now, he can?t do that so much because he knows he won?t win that argument (I?m too much of a loud mouth). It stinks though.

  • DH is the same way when stressful things present themselves, especially financial things.  I feel like life is about to turn ugly again since Patrick is considering a "career move".  Dealerships are closing up left and right and it's time he get into a new line of business.  Thing is, he has worked on cars for so long, it's going to be hard.  He's a smart f*cker and has probably more common sense than anyone else I know, but moving into a white collar field with a consistent paycheck is going to be hard for him.  He makes a lot of money.
  • Hard knocks school in Brooklyn yeshiva, that and fighting with my bro. Ok, I can't lift my leg up that high either, maybe a karate chop then.
