1. What has been the best thing about your pregnancy? probably that I felt so much better this time around. No back pain, no high BP, not as much weight gain.
2. What has been the worst thing about your pregnancy? I felt hungover the first 14ish weeks.
3. What are you most looking forward to about not being pregnant? sleeping on my back
4. What is/was your biggest L&D fear/concern? My goal is a natural birth so the whole 'ring of fire' freaks me out but I know once you get there it's do or die (j/k) and you just have to push the baby out.
5. What features (physical) do you hope your LO gets from you? my nose and ears (basically these are the features from H I hope he DOESN'T have
6. What features (physical) do you hope your LO gets from DH/SO? eyes, his are wider than mine

9. What brand of bottles will you use? I plan on just using the ones that come with my pump when we have to bottle fed (Medela)
10. Do you have a boppy or a my brest friend (or neither)? I have both from DS. My brest friend is super awesome!! The boppy is good for tummy time/propping the baby up when learning to sit
11. Are you going to use pacifiers? I'm not anti pacifier. Although my 27 month is still sucking his. He wouldn't even take on until he was weaned from the boob at 6 months. After that they were BFFs
12. What's your opinion (if you have one) on the book "Babywise"? I'm not overly familiar with the book, I know some folks got flamed for using it back in my infant month days. I lean more towards an attachment parenting style (but I'm not hard core).
7. What is your favorite gift that you have received for baby? We got this gigantic catepillar from MIL-it's so soft! I can totally see our baby laying on the floor with it as a toddler:)
Lainey has an inchworm. It plays music and crinkles and squeaks. She already is really fascinated with it!

11. Are you going to use pacifiers? yes, but hopefully not for the first couple of weeks. We'll see how it goes. I have them in the house ready to go, if needed.
12. What's your opinion (if you have one) on the book "Babywise"? I haven't really heard much about it or read it, but I'm interested enough to learn more about it.
Haha! Love it! THe pitfall of pacis? (at least with Lainey)- she drops it as she's falling asleep and it wakes her up and she cries for it. Ugh. We are trying some tricks to get this to stop.

7. What is your favorite gift that you have received for baby?
Hmm.... considering we haven't really received any major gifts for the baby... I'd have to say it's a toss up between some of the blankets from my students or the books that two of my English teacher friends picked out as their favorites from when they were kids.
Some of my former AP students threw me a small shower, and they each brought their fave childhood books. They wrote sweet notes in them and it stocked my bookshelf. It was so, so sweet. : )

11. Are you going to use pacifiers? Yes. We used them with DS and will use them with DD. We managed to get DS off of them at about 18 months, but now that they are back out again for DD he keeps stealing them and yelling "inky" (binky) as he runs off with it!Love this! : ) Too cute.

4. What is/was your biggest L&D fear/concern? That I will have an outrageously long labor ending with a c-secction. All of my friends had short and easy labors.

1. What has been the best thing about your pregnancy? It has really brought DH and I closer. He's been absolutely wonderful throughout this pregnancy, which is good considering he wants 5 kids. If he is this sweet then I may have to reconsider my 2 kids rule. Additional perk: He seriously believes (or is an excellent liar) that pregnancy suits me, I've never received so many compliments from him day to day!
2. What has been the worst thing about your pregnancy?LO's been healthy and safe but I have been unhealthy, in pain, uncomfortable and generally miserable. I had morning sickness almost the entire pregnancy, was passing out several times a week whenever I'd stand for too long, had really bad food aversion (even talking about certain foods would make me get sick)...Long story short I'm glad I didn't have any serious complications but really wished I had been one of those women who loved being pregnant.
1. What has been the best thing about your pregnancy? not much morning sickness
2. What has been the worst thing about your pregnancy? the swelling!
3. What are you most looking forward to about not being pregnant? sleeping on my stomach
4. What is/was your biggest L&D fear/concern? my epi, it was not the best experience with DS
5. What features (physical) do you hope your LO gets from you? my hair and /or my eyes.
6. What features (physical) do you hope your LO gets from DH/SO? his nose and/or lips
7. What is your favorite gift that you have received for baby? a hand made quilt
8. What item that you have received/bought is the most frivolous? ruffle butt outfits, don't ask me why, i just couldn't resist!
9. What brand of bottles will you use? playtex drop ins
10. Do you have a boppy or a my brest friend (or neither)? boppy! i couldn't live without for the first one.
11. Are you going to use pacifiers? sparingly, i'll play it by ear, i don't want her to have one all the time but i can appreciate the usefullness of it.
12. What's your opinion (if you have one) on the book "Babywise"? no opinion haven't read it
Go! And up those numbers! : ))

3. What are you most looking forward to about not being pregnant?I'm hoping my health will go back to normal. I was training to do a multi-day hike into Yosemite, to the top of Half Dome and back out of Yosemite when I got my BFP. While PG I've barely been able to walk around BRU or Target without needing to sit down after a bit from being dizzy or exhausted. I'm also excited to be able to eat healthy again, I've had major aversions to foods I normally love and are good for LO and I. Hopefully LO will end up hating all the crap I've been eating because its the only thing I can keep down.
4. What is/was your biggest L&D fear/concern?My mom needed and emergency C-section with me and her labor progressed so quickly with my brother that she never got any pain medication. Both freak me out.I have a scheduled induction for next week if LO doesn't come first and I'm uneducated on what that will entail. My goal to day is to do my research on the topic.
5. What features (physical) do you hope your LO gets from you?My minimal body hair (DH is part yeti) lol. I'd love our son to be just like DH minus that aspect.
7. What is your favorite gift that you have received for baby?We received mostly gifts from our registry but the only gift that made me cry was when I opened the gift from MIL's bible study group women. It was our high chair/swing but attached was the book "Guess how much I love you." Inside they had written a message to LO that made me bawl!! It basically said that they had been praying for DH since they met MIL, been praying for me since DH and I started dating and praying for LO since they heard he's coming. It was so sweet.
8. What item that you have received/bought is the most frivolous? Honestly, I don't think anything. Maybe after LO arrives we'll re-evaluate how necessary things seemed.
10. Do you have a boppy or a my brest friend (or neither)?I have a nurture nest, which is basically a firmer boppy. The covers fit it too (thanks again OSC!!)
3. What are you most looking forward to about not being pregnant?
Honestly, I'm looking forward to being able to sleep again and getting off these steroids I've been on for the past month. I know that sounds crazy, since I won't get much sleep with a newborn. But I have had TERRIBLE insomnia, both from being pregnant and from being on high dose steroids. I can't come off the steroids until after I deliver, and it will take a little while to taper off of them (if you stop taking them too quickly you can go into adrenal crisis).
Oh, and meeting my LO of course

I am afraid of the pain (obviously) and of just not being able to handle it as well as I'd like to. I also hate the idea of being hooked up to so many monitors, but given that I'm high risk, I won't have much of a choice about that.

8. What item that you have received/bought is the most frivolous?
We haven't really gotten any frivolous stuff. We're Jewish and the tradition is to buy things after the baby comes, so mostly we've just gotten stuff from our parents and stuff we bought ourselves. I'm sure we'll get frivolous stuff after the baby is here though!
