Thoughts on this girls name?

Brielle ... it's the only name of a long list I've given my DH that he hasn't vetoed. Names I LOVE that he's vetoed are Lydia, Laina, Mallory, Natalie. Just curious people's initial opinion on the name Brielle... thanks!

Eh, it's NMS, but I love the NN Brie. I also think Brielle goes really well with Addelyn, so if you and YH like it, you should go for it.

An old friend of mine has a daughter named Brielle. It's not really my style, but it's cute. I'm not sure how well I think it ages, though...

I like it...not that it really matters but it reminds me of John Edward's mistress Rielle, but I am not sure why that popped into my head!! Confused

I love the name Brielle! We thought of using it but are going with Gabriella instead. We figured there are more options for nicknames (Briella, Ella, Gabby, etc.). My DH also vetoed lots of names and Brielle was one of the few that he did like.

Sounds made up. I don't like it. I do love Lydia and I like Natalie and I can stand Mallory. I don't like Laina. BUT if you've come to a point where nobody is vetoing, then it's a good thing! Good luck.

I'm not a fan. It reminds me of Braille. Perhaps Gabrielle, and then use Brie/Brielle as a nickname, that way she has something less trendy and made up sounding for her actual name. Fwiw, I think all of the names he vetoed are better than this, especially Lydia.

It does sound a bit made up to me, but I actually like it. I think it sounds pretty but when it comes down to it, I'd personally have to pick something a little more mainstream.

This name is actually discussed more frequently than I would have imagined on this board... I had never heard the name prior to the Bump. I love your other DD's name (Addelyn, right?), but I have to say I dislike the name Brielle : (. It sounds made up to me. But, I have seen lots of people like it on this board. I say if it is the one name you and DH can agreen on, go for it!! (FWIW, I love Lydia and Natalie!)
