I have Roman Viktor, I got the first name and DH got the middle. I loved Roman since I read the Wisdom Paradox and one of the neurobiologists was named "Romanovich". It took a lot of convincing to get DH to agree with Roman, he really hated it... But my baby looks like a Roman! I really loved "Lucian" too, but that was really a no-go... Maybe my next baby...

Keira Nancy
And why did you chose it?
Keira was a random name we liked. Nancy was my aunt who I was very close with. She passed away at 51 in 2001. She always wanted kids, but never had any. Both of my children are named after her. She was Nancy Neill. Hence, Keira Nancy and Ethan Neill.
Did you want to name LO that?
My first choice was Amelia. But Keira was my 2nd choice, so it worked out for us.
Who named your LO? DH and I both did, but mostly DH
What's your LO's name? Ryan Michael
And why did you chose it? DH picked Ryan because it was a boys name he didnt hate. Michael is FILs name. Baby #2 will be named after someone in my family.
Did you want to name LO that? Yes I liked the name. I liked Tyler also but I like Ryan a lot.

Ainsley Louise
And why did you chose it?
Ainsley was just a name we both liked. Louise is a family name on my side. Me, my mother, and both grandmothers middle name is Louise
Did you want to name LO that?
Yes, but it wasn't my first choice. I wanted to name her Hadley but DH didn't like it.

I named our little girl, DH agreed with my name or he would have protested.
Her name is Jane Rose.
I like the name Jane and Rose was for my mother who passed away three years ago.
Of course I did. Neither one of us would name the child a name the other didn't like.

And why did you chose it?
My DH grew up in Italy in a very italian family. I wanted to choose an italian name, but one that would also be okay in the U.S. and Leigh is after Vivien Leigh from Gone with the Wind. I've always had quite an obsession with her and think Leigh is just a great simple middle name
Did you want to name LO that?
Of course!
P.S. My husband is C-R-A-Z-Y about the name Roman! if we have a boy next he is choosing that name for sure! (probably because he considers himself a roman after growing up in Rome and wants to bring that part of his life into his new life)

2. Her name is Audrey Reinee
3. Audrey is after DH's great grandma and middle name is after his grandma. I always loved the name Audrey so we decided to use it.

Who named your LO? DH and I both had fairly equal parts in naming her, I suggested it first and he liked it.
What's your LO's name? LO is Evelyn Jane.
And why did you chose it? We chose it because we liked it, there are no other reasons, it's not a family name or anything like that. Orignially we had planned on naming her Lily but we fell out of love with that name as time went on.
Did you want to name LO that? Yes! I love her name! It was a suprise even to me because we chose it last minute. I think it fits her so well!

DH came up with the name and I agreed, though it took me a while.

Thomas Cole, but we call him Cole
And why did you chose it?
DH's father has passed and Thomas was his first name. We just like the name Cole, it has no significance.
Did you want to name LO that?
Originally no, I wanted to honor my father too (who also passed) but it just didn't work with the name at all. I'm happy that we choose this name. We are planning on having another baby so it's not like we can't use my suggestion.

Scarlett Ava
And why did you chose it?
I saw it at a bakery on one of their cakes and loved the way it looked. Came home told DH and he wasn't convinced. Two weeks later he said he liked it and that was it!
Did you want to name LO that?
We really wanted Ava to be her 1st name, but it's just too common now and our 1st born has a very common name (Jacob). So we wanted something not too common or traditional.
1. I picked the first name, my husband picked the middle.
2. Our daughter's name is Gracyn Olivia.
3. I liked the name because it was just a little different and it isn't to difficult to spell or say.
4. Gracyn was my pick and it took a lot of convincing for my husband to go for it. Our original name was Sophia and I am glad we didn't go with it. I don't think she looks like a Sophia at all.

Julia Marie
And why did you chose it?
Julia--- from the Beatles song, and I'm sure Julia Child might hae played a lil role. Marie because several family members have names that start with "Mar"

And why did you chose it?
About six months into my pregnancy I became convinced that our baby was named Ella. I tried to convince DH that she had essentially named herself but he wasn't buying it. He said Ella was a good nickname but he wanted a more grownup 'official' version. We decided on Elaina as her full name and honestly since she came out I don't think she really looks like an Ella anyways... I'm thinking maybe Lainey for a nickname now.
Jean is my mother's name. She is an amazingly strong woman and a woman I'd love my daughter to emulate.
Did you want to name LO that?
At the time I think we both thought we were compromising but the more people we told, the more we got excited about it!
Who named your LO? It was a joint decision - a long decision. We took forever to decide on a girl name. I wanted Claire - he wasn't a fan and then wanted weird names.
What's your LO's name? Katherine Elizabeth
And why did you chose it? We decided to use family names only. My Great Aunt Katherine raised my mom and Elizabeth is a family name on both sides.
Did you want to name LO that? Yes - I knew it was the right name when we finally threw it out there!

Lucy Eleanor
And why did you chose it?
Lucy was my great-grandmothers name and DH's great-grandmother was named Lucia, but called Lucy so we thought that was a neat connection to both sides of the family. We wanted something easy to spell and pronounce in both english and spanish (DH is mexican). We just liked Eleanor.

And why did you choose it?
The name came to me one day while waiting for the train and it just seemed to feel right. DH also liked it. The middle name came from talking with my cousins trying to come up with a normal middle name to go with the original name choice, Eleanor which nobody besides me seemed to like because it is "too outdated".
Did you want to name LO that?
Yes. When I thought of the name way back then I couldn't see naming our little girl anything else, not even Eleanor.
What's your LO's name?Dashiell James (Dashiell pronounced like Dashell)
And why did you chose it?He's an author I studied in university (Dashiell Hammett - Maltese Falcon, The Red Hammer, etc) and we just both really liked it because it's different - pretty much no chance of anyone in his class having the same name! James is DH's middle name and his Dad's first name. I nixed using DH's first name as a middle name.
Did you want to name LO that?At first I was leaning more towards Declan but I did really like Dashiell as well (Dash for short, btw) and I'm glad it's what we picked.

We both did, though it was a toss up between 2 first names & DH finally chose the name we went with.

And why did you choose it?
The Ainslie's were my ancestors from Scotland. It was a last name, we both liked it but prefered spelling it Ainsley. DH also likes it's meaning, "My own meadow." Margaret is my grandmother's name. She has, and continues to be, a very important part of my life. I wanted to do something to recognize that.

What's your LO's Name: Makaia Kimberleigh-Rose
And why did you choose it: Well my Dad suggested Makaia which we did like from the beginning, then we decided for sure that we would use Kimberleigh becasue its after DH's Mother, I decided that I wanted her to have 2 middle names like her daddy. I thought about something more traditional and was pretty set on Lillian we also liked Zoe. We kept going back and forth and for a while were set on Zoey Makaia, then DH said her really loved Makaia, so I agreed and Kimberleigh-Rose just sounded so pretty in our opinion.
Did you want to name Lo that: Nope. I really really loved Calliope.

Who named your LO?
My husband. The deal was he would pick the name if we were having a girl and I would pick the name if we were having a boy. No real rhyme or reason behind it really. Just because! (Ultimately we would both have to like the name.)

Violet Henson
And why did you choose it?
He made a list of names he liked and kept narrowing it down...he just liked the way it sounded. He chose the middle name to honor the late, great Jim Henson of Muppet fame. :P

Yes, otherwise I would have vetoed it.

And why did you chose it?
I fell in love with Ciara after reading P.S. I Love You and Joann was my mom's younger sister who passed suddenly 6 years ago.

We wouldn't have named her something we didn't both like so, yes

I suggested it, but DH fell in love with it and basically decided that was the name.

Ellie Anne
And why did you choose it?
I suggested it because Elizabeth and Anne are family names (on both sides), and originally she was going to be Elizabeth with Ellie as a nickname. Then we started talking about people possibly calling her Liz, Lizzy, Betsy, etc. and decided Ellie was going to be her official name.
Did you want to name LO that?
Emma was my first choice, but DH liked that we picked Ellie for a reason. I can't imagine her being named anything else now. It's just too bad that I feel like Emma is out even if we have another girl down the line...Ellie & Emma is just too matchy matchy for me.
we both agreed on it. DH hated it at first but i convinced him lol.
we named her Quinn Avery.
We wanted something different and Irish. we both have really common names and always hated being one of five in class with the same name when we were little. i also really like unisex names and boy names on girls. Avery we chose because it was the only thing we could think of that went well with Quinn. i liked it for a first name but DH didnt like it - so agreed for a MN.

I did. My DH thinks he did and my mom believes she did too. They're nuts I named him.

Nathan James
And why did you chose it?
Nathan because of the meaning "gift from God" with my health issues involved with this pregnancy really made the meaning true. and James because thats my husbands name and it sounded good

It wasnt my first pick but I think he looks like a Nathan so its perfect!

And why did you choose it? We just liked the name Abigail (Abby) and it is a biblical name that means "Father's Joy." Her middle name is my first name.

3. We really liked the name Owen. It was also my great-grandfather's name (our older son has a family name from DH's side). David is DH's name. We really wanted to keep w/ family names.

And why did you choose it? We just liked the name Abigail. Her middle name was originally going to be Grace because I love it. However, Marie is a family name on my side (my grandmother's first name and my mother's middle.) In the end, I decided I wanted something that had meaning for a middle name rather than something random. Lucky for me, DH agreed.

Amelia Eleanor
And why did you chose it?
I have always loved the name Eleanor but my MIL couldn't say it correctly so we decided to make it her middle name... I cant remember who suggested Amelia but we loved it and that is what we call her.
My MIL says EleanEr not EleanOr and it bugged me.
