So, I'm jumping head first into the world of CDs, and I am realizing that cloth wipes are a natural match since I want to shove the wipe inside the diaper every time! Luckily, I have 2 dozen wipes coming that I got as a freebie with a purchase today. My question is...what do you use to wet them? Do you buy a spray or make your own? What about when you are out and about, do you just use disposable wipes?
Re: Question about cloth wipes
I just started a new method today and love it.
I store my wipes dry in a basket on the changing table then wet them as needed with a solution in an old hair color applicator bottle. My solution is water with a few drops of baby oil, baby wash and tea tree oil.
This!! Except I use olive oil instead of baby oil.
I'm pretty similar to this. I use a small spray bottle (I have a large jar for refills and I refill the jar once a week or so). My solution is homemade and is just water, mineral oil (I hate the smell of baby oil), lavender, and tea tree oil.
When I go out, I wet 5 or 6 wipes (or more if I'll be gone all day), and put them in a travel wipe case. I recently left my wipe case somewhere, so I've had to use a ziplock bag the last few days. I'll pick up a new travel case next time I'm at the store.
For wipes, I mainly use the cheapy wash cloths from Target, but I'm starting to make my own out of flannel and terry cloth.
