I was not aware that pregnancy was such an "overwhelming time" that it meant abandoning all compassion for your friends.
I am really sorry Umm, and I know you are happy for your friends, just surprised. Nobody who actually has reading comprehension or has read a single one of your posts would ever think you felt anything but a sting at this, while still being happy for your friend.
Giant fails at flaming attempts make my heart sing, especially when the "flamer" can make such an idiotically P&R post as that linked one.
Hmmm.... well - what do you tell people when they ask if you're trying? Just because you were comfortable telling them your issues doesn't mean they need to be comfortable telling you theirs - TTC is one of the most private things a couple can do. So - why do you have a right to know?
And, maybe, just maybe, in their obviously overwhelming situation, they didn't have a chance to call you, or wanted to tell all their family - or maybe they were waiting to tell you face to face instead of over Crackbook, given your recent difficulties - maybe they were trying to do the right thing by you.
I'm sorry that someone else's HUGE AND WONDERFUL news isn't being all about you. How selfish of them.
Yup - I'm going to go get some chocolate now.
How dare you come into umm's post and make such absolutely rude comments. I think you need to take your arrogant, inconsiderate self and move on. Umm is a valued member of TTGP, you however ARE NOT!
ETA: I'll take out the name calling but seriously.
I love you. That is all. oh wait no, I also totally agree with you. ok. now, that is all

For everyone else: Yes - that was me that said that. And yeah, I do say positive things.
But I'm also entitled to think that a woman's pregnancy belongs to her, her partner and no one else, and that they can choose to approach it however they want. I have seen YOU act as a cheering team for Bumpies that have other people trying to butt into parts of their private life. So what's the difference here?
And I really hope that when you get your BFP and people start to get upset over decision that you make, that there is someone there to remind you that it's your pregnancy and you can handle it how you please. Every woman deserves that. Whether they are a Bumpie or not.
I don't call people names, swear at them, insult them, or tell them they are an epic failure. But yes - I call a spade a spade - and this was a spade.
You seem to have a very hard time sticking to one viewpoint.
While you chose to bash Mrs. Ummm for feeling hurt about how her friend announced her pregnancy and stated that it is the pregnant couple's perogative on how they announce, you seemed to find no issue with expressing sympathy to another poster who was upset at how her cousin's girlfriend announced her pregnancy. https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/2/45834174/ShowThread.aspx
I think that you should change your screen name to Sybil, due to your multiple personality disorder.
I don't have the energy right now to get into everything else that is wrong with your post, but there is a lot there.
Or whatever. In the hours since you posted this, have you talked to them?
Yup. Called them up after I saw it on FB. They didn't say a word. I know that it's because they're ackward about it and don't want to hurt my feelings by being pregnant, but they don't get that their pregnancy isn't what hurts, it's the abandonment by friends.

And, I call a b!tch a b!tch. Thanks for all the support.
