This is the name I always post in those threads of names you just don't see the appeal of. I can't stand Liam. I have no idea how it has grown to be so popular. I don't like the way it sounds or looks, and I don't think of it as a strong, masculine name.

I like it a lot, but it is really growing in popularity. I think there will be several in each class when the kid hits school. Pretty trendy right now.

I actually really love the name Liam and have it on my boy's list. However, I have heard it a lot lately and am a little worried by how popular it is. But nonetheless, I love it!
I love it. We were going to name our little one Liam if it was a boy, but she is a girl. It is growing in popularity, but I have never met Liam, so personally I wasn't too worried about it.

Ugg I strongly dislike it. Although I have a bad association with it. The first time I heard it for a baby I thought it sounded like an old man name (probably because the only one I had heard of was Liam Neeson), but it does seem younger to me now because of the many Liams I've met since then. Still, not my favorite.

This was us too. We had a girl, but it was our boy name. I've since fallen in love with a few other boys names, so if we have a boy in the future we probably won't use it-but still, I like it.
I really like it, but it's way too popular for me to even consider it.
Ditto. Plus, much as I like the name, I'd balk at giving two brothers the same name(Liam being a short form of William, which it looks like is the big-brother-to-be's MN).

Yes, we are clearly in the minority. I despise it.

I have a Liam in my 1st grade class this year, as a stand alone name, not a NN.
I was nto a fan of it before, and don't like it any better now.
