My placenta's not budging. It's not scary low, but my dr feels like it might be best to have a c-section. It's 3 cm from the cervix and hasn't moved since 20 weeks. She likes it to be greater than 5 cm. I go back to get it checked again in 4 more weeks. Anyone know at what point there dr's suggest c-section?
Re: Low placenta - How many cm to avoid c/s?
Perhaps I worded that poorly. 5 cm is what my OB suggested. I wondered what other's OBs have said. Dr. Google seems to think around 2cm. so I tend to think my OB might be overly conservative. I want to trust my her, but would like to educate myself on what the norm is.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I certainly want what's safest for the baby and I. If that means a c/s, then so be it. I had a fast labor with DD and she has already been hinting around about scheduling this one. I live an hour from the hospital and getting there will already be an issue. It would really be a problem if I start losing too much blood.
