Pajamas ...

What type of PJs do you prefer to dress LO in... footed one piece, non footed one piece, two piece (long sleeve shirt and pants)? Cotton or fleece? Whats your favorite brand?

I was just at baby Gap and fell in love w/ their cotton two piece pj sets. I'm thinking they might be better for DD's mobility since sometimes her foot gets tangled insider her Carter's footed fleece pjs when she's walking around. But I'm wondering if their is an added benefit of a footed sleeper that I'm missing? Thx.

Re: Pajamas ...

  • I like the footed fleece sleepers the best. I imagine the benefit of a footed sleeper is that their feet don't get cold. Socks don't stay on my LO and it's cold here. The fleece footed PJ's work best. I'm not picky on brand we have some Carter's and some no-name brands we buy at consignment stores.

  • We use footed sleepers because their feet get cold. I love the Children's Place cotton zippered pjs. My girls are petite and these are stretchy material so their feet don't get tangled when standing, crawling and they they have the no slide soles on the feet bottom. I bought some fleece pjs from there too, but they're made wider and my girls keep ending up with both legs in one pant leg.
  • I prefer the footed pjs, however, I do put DD in the non-footed pjs and put her in a sleep sack so her feet still stay warm.
  • I prefer one piece pj's because I find the shirt of a two-piece always rides up...doesn't look comfy.  I also prefer footie jammies because I know her little feet with be cozy.

Most of my girl's pj's have been Carter's or Baby Gap.

  • I like footed fleece sleepers from Carter's for the colder weather.  My LO won't keep his blanket on so I want his tootsies to stay warm.  When it's warm I like two piece PJs, cotton & babyGap.

I wish babyGap had some fleece PJs already!

  • I like the carters fleece one pieces best just bc i know her little tootsies will stay warm. She also doesnt sleep with a blanket so i want to make sure they're covered.

We also use The Children's Place sleepers and I love them! I have a couple hand me down pairs from a friend and they are the Carter's 2-piece, footed PJs with the snaps to hold the pants and shirt together. I like them, but I can't find them anywhere and the person who handed them down to me had gotten them as a gift.

  • I prefer cotton footed sleepers.  Most of the ones we have are carters and just one year (all from DS2).  My LO sleeps in a long sleeve onsie, footed sleeper, and fleece or velboa Halo sleepsack.  Keeps him warm, comfortable, and safe.
