I do contract administration and risk management for an Alaska Native Corporation. Right now I'm planning on taking 8 weeks, but our company is looking into getting a short and long term disability policy, so that may change my plans.

I'm a Creative Recruiter at a specialized staffing agency in the advertising and design field. I plan to take 12 weeks off, part of which will be paid through short term disability.
I am actually unempolyed and have been for a few months! Been looking and turning in apps like crazy, but am going to wait until baby is born and older before trying again. DH wants me to be a SAHM and homeschool our child, not sure if I can handle not working for that much longer though!! Lol!

I am a manager at Publix Supermarket. I work 50+ hours a week and have DREADFUL shifts (i.e. 4am-3pm or 12pm-11pm). I plan on taking the full 12 weeks as well.

I'm a SAHM and in a perfect world I will stay home until my youngest is in school.
Ditto. But I am also kind of itching to get a job right now. haha I think I just need to start scheduling more for DD and myself because I'm a little stir crazy here. But seriously - we have very little family help (re: childcare) and I cannot see putting either kids in daycare. So until the youngest is old enough to go to actual preschool ( 3 or 4 years old) I will probably be a SAHM or work very very part-time doing lord knows what.
I'm a physical therapist working between 24-32 hr/week... depending on time of year... less for holiday and summers... which I love. I'm taking 12 weeks with this one, as my youngest DD I was only able to take 6 weeks since my husband was unemployed.. I plan to enjoy this one, as it may be my last kiddo

I'm an editor who works for the government in my province, and I also do technical writing.
Like the few Canadians above, I plan to take full advantage of the year half salary that we're offered.
