MIL actually said this yesterday. Oh and I am the weird one for refusing to let DS cry in the pnp while we all ate dinner. She seriously said "we don't mind, just leave him". Umm, no thanks.
She wonders why I will not let him stay overnight at her house. This is just the latest in a string of incidents that have me seriously doubting her child care abilities

Wow! I did not know we had the same MIL.
That is absurd.
I guess she thought it would be easier on me if I didn't have to tend to him while eating. I had a MUCH more enjoyable dinner with DS happy and on my lap than I would with him sad and crying in the pnp!
I don't have a problem with CIO per se - we haven't had to do it because we were blessed with a great sleeper. But it wasn't like he was due for a nap or anything. There was no reason for it
