Made trip to L+D tonight :-/

So even though I have to watch my sugars, I decided I really wanted pizza. Instead of delivery I went to grocery store bought me some frozen pizza.. On the way back I felt kinda wet, so I went to the restroom right when I got home. My undies were damp. I peed, wiped inspected the tp, changed undies and went to lay down while pizza was in the oven. Then I noticed I felt wet again. I checked and had wet spot the size of a half dollar. It was clear, and not dischargy. I called the oncall ob, and the np called me back. I told her everything, she said its normal to have mucousy discharge put a pad on if you still have some in 30 mins call me back. I told her its not mucosy its clear, and thinned out, looks like water. So to L+D she send me. I get there and the spot is dry, and nothing else.... I look at my undies and they're tinged light yellow... It was pee. I was so embarrassed. They checked me anyway, and everything came back perfectly normal. I feel so silly. Sorry for the one paragraph.. I'm on my blackberry.

I'm sorry that you had to deal with that scare tonight. Try not to be embarrassed...I'm sure they have moms come in with that exact scenario frequently. Plus, having your water break at 19 weeks is definitely not something you want to ignore. I'm so glad that everything is ok and hopefully your pizza was very yummy!

It happens. Don't feel silly. I had to go into L&D for something similar at my shower, when DH and I were out of town. The general consensus from L&D (since my tests were normal) was that it was just pee. I am still not so sure, but whatever it was, it wasn't amniotic fluid. The on-call doc told me that it was probably nothing, but really really important to get checked out anyway. Sounds like you did the right thing.
