no sleep, swaddle or not

We were using a Swaddleme at night, and it would get us a good 2-3 hours between feedings. But DS discovered his hands a few days ago and now flips out when we swaddle him because he just wants to suck on his hands all the time. Even if we get him to fall asleep swaddled, he wakes up in less than an hour freaking out because he wants his hands. Unswaddled, he startles himself awake even faster. What to do?

    Try swaddling with one hand in and one hand out?

    We now swaddle with both arms out. We had the same problem. And last night, she got really cold, so I tried to put her in a sleep sack and she hated it! All that leg movement... I just swaddled and then added a thicker blanket on top of that!

    I would probably swaddle from the waist down.  We did this for a little while b/c LO stopped wanting her arms in but now she's back to a full swaddle.
