  While I wouldn't do this, I don't see why anyone cares.  If her baby didn't have what it needed, ok, get upset.  But I don't see where she said her baby is lacking in stuff.  It's not like she's telling the people who got her the gifts she did this and how will they know anyways?

  What are you going to do if one of the people who bought you one of these returned items finds out you returned it for something for yourself?

  I am all about good cosmetics...I work at a cosmetic counter, but would never do that. Cosmetics are a luxury and the items you returned in order to buy said luxury were a gift for your child.

   I can totally see you stealing money out of your child's birthday cards for your own person use in the future....just saying I don't see the difference between this and what you actually did.
