1st Trimester

anyone else feel this way

I am just feeling so down today. I am sick all day every day. I feel nauseous ALL the time and throw up at least twice a day. I have tried EVERYTHING Zofran, Unisom, Preggie Pops, Ginger ale, small frequent meals,  NOTHING seems to help.  I am so grateful for this pregnancy but I am just SOO miserable. I dread getting up in the morning and having to push through the day.  I just want to sleep because it is the only time I don't want to throw up.  Sorry to complain, I am just feeling at the end of my rope.  Another 4 or 5 weeks of this just seems impossible to deal with at this point:(

Re: anyone else feel this way

  • i am so happy to hear that i'm not the only one.  i haven't left my house in 3 weeks except to go to work.  i feel sort of depressed-like.  i am sick and drowsy (from the m/s medication) all.the.time.  all i do is sit on the couch or lay in my bed.  that's it!

i really hope i get my spirit back soon.  i thought i would enjoy pregnany more b/c i have wanted it for so long!

i hope you feel better soon.

  • put a toddler in the mix plus a stomach bug minus 2x throwing up (just occacionally) and you are in my world. I am miserable. but the dr will not give me anything for nausea or diareah (however you spell that)

This is me. Today is the first time in a week I have been able to eat food and keep it all in. Plus, DS has been super cranky today

  • So sorry you're not feeling well. I had horrific m/s, and at about 11 weeks it subsided. It still comes back, and I have a day here or there where I can't keep anything down, but it is much more manageable now.

I had to stop thinking in a matter of weeks, and just take it one day at a time. If I thought "crap - 5 more weeks of this) I would send myself into a panic attack.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

  • I feel the same way. It is really frustrating because I feel like I can't get anything accomplished, and I can't see a light at the end of the tunnel. I remember feeling the same way when I was pregnant with DD (I distinctly remember telling DH at about 9/10 weeks that I would never get pregnant again). I keep telling myself that it's only temporary so that I can get through the day.

  • I felt like I was the only one...I am going to be 6 wks tomorrow and from the minute my eyes open in the morning to when they shut at night I feel nauseous. I tried the small meals and the only thing that does is make me feel sick. The site of food, or smell of food, or even a commercial for food makes it worse. I really really would love to lay in bed and pull the cover up over my head. But work and a 3yo throw a wrench into that plan! I hope that this passes..I am also feeling dizzy almost off balance...like a V8 commercial....

  • It will get better and you will feel amazing in the 2nd trimester!  I am just starting to get m/s again and I forgot about the motion sick feeling, like I was on a roller-coaster all day.  It didn't go away last time until 14 weeks and I am not looking forward to it again!
