Anyone POAS and it first went positve then faded to negative? This happened to me tonight. With my first pregnancy the positive just got darker and darker. I am really confused now, going try again in the morning.
After what I have went through the past few days I will never use anything but a digital again. Seriously with my first I had dollar store line tests come up perfect. This time all the dollar store tests would do was smudge. Clearblue digital came back positive.
I'm not sure what exactly you mean, but there are several possibilities:
1) If you took a test and got a positive, and that same test faded later: I'm pretty sure that means nothing. Most two-line tests will stay the same forever, but the results are not guaranteed after the 10 minute window.
2) If you took a test and got a faint BFP, and took nother one later in the day with a negative result: It may be due to urine dilution and a very early resul. Try again in the morning.
3) If you got BFP one day, a lighter one the next, and so on until it they are negative: You should talk to your doctor, because you might have had a chemical pregnancy. This happened to me - My doctor said to try again with FMU, and it was negative. It was indeed a chemical pregnancy.
Mine did the same thing. It was obviously positive and then when I went to show it to DH the line was gone. I freaked out and went and bought a digital. I would suggest doing that. It takes out the guess work.
About a year back there was a bit of an issue with FRER's and disappearing positives. They were defective tests, and people were told to call them negatives.

Was it maybe an expired test?
