Anyone else do Curves?

I have been so good about working out for the past 6 years. I would spend 2 hours at the gym 4 or 5 days a week. I might skip a month here or there, but I always got back on the horse.

I haven't worked out since June Embarrassed

In my defense I was on bedrest for three weeks before our miscarriage and then had to rest for 2 weeks after that. Then I was just plain ol' depressed and didn't care. Now I'm too scared and  too tired to work out at the gym!

So I figured Curves is a quick 30 minutes that doesn't seem at daunting as the gym. Also, I don't worry about 'pushing it' and hurting the baby.

So anyone have any luck with Curves?

Re: Anyone else do Curves?

  • I used to work out at curves when I still lived with my parents.  I think it works well... what you put in is exactly what you get out of it. I was at my skinniest then, too. You're right about it not being as daunting as a full-sized gym.  You won't feel intimidated.

Only problem with Curves is the hours.  Depending on which you go to, sometimes the hours can be a little wonky... i.e. Some don't open until later in the morning and close earlier in the evening so it makes it hard to work around a work schedule.

  • Make sure you check with your dr too before you start up again. Also, a good amount of Curves facilities are starting to tank, so make sure you go to one that looks busy and has a good customer flow to it.
