Teething Necklace

We got our teething necklace from Inspired By Finn (thanks tabithagoins).  I put it on V yesterday.  She pulled on it at first, but was distracted by playing ball, reading books, etc and left it on.  I took it off for her bath with plans to put it on again today.

It didn't happen for us.  I tried to put it on her this morning and she started to cry.  I let her play with it for a bit on my lap.  I got it fastened on her and she tried to remove it and started crying.  Of course, I took it off and put it away.  Did anyone else have a problem getting LO used to wearing a teething necklace?  Maybe it is because I am trying at 13 months when lots of stuff is difficult.  I hope we are able to use it because it seemed to help and she looks so cute in it!

  • We wrap ours around Lo's ankel. I think it was easier since he was 3 months when he got his.

  • I tried to wrap it around DD's ankle, but she didn't like it.  I tried to put it around her neck again this afternoon, but she wanted to play with it instead.  I'll just keep trying!

  • I usually give DD a toy or distract her with something then a quickly put it around her neck, fasten it, and tuck it under her shirt before she even notices. So far this seems to work for us!

Hmm... I wonder if your problem is that you let her play with it (which I bet is a lot of fun for her) and now she just wants to hold and play with it? I like the PP suggestion of distraction with a fun toy.
