Pregnant after a Loss

Can't bring myself to cancel RE appointment

We had an appointment with the RE on November 3rd since we were having issues TTC.  Since this doctor is pretty hard to get into anyway, I can't bring myself to cancel the appointment b/c I keep thinking I may need the appointment if something happens with this pregnancy.  I hate fear!

  • You are pregnant and will be having a baby. Be positive I know its hard to do right now but you need to be.

  • My personal opinion is don't cancel! Use it as a consultation. Ask the RE all your questions about your previous loss(es), trouble TTC, and ask if he'd be willing to tak you on as a patient anyway (if you want more attentive care than a regular OB). Just explain exactly what happened with the new PG happening while you were waiting to see him/her, but that you wanted to keep your appointment with him anyway.
  • I have some of the same feelings.  But I've found it feels really good to have hope and to live like everything will be OK.  Don't live in fear.

  • Call his office and let them know that you are newly pregnant and would like to keep the appointment.  They can provide you some guidance.

  • You have every right to talk to a specialist whether or not you become their patient. Fear is just a reality after you have a loss. Talking to the RE will be taking good care of yourself and your fears. [[[hugs]]]
  • Try to stay positive!... I know its hard but you will be ok.

Good point!  I think I will keep the appointment.

  • I like rosebud point of view. Or calling them and and asking what to do.
