Starting today I've had this extreme very very painful nerve that shoots from my lower back into my butt and literally stops me in my tracks, I can't walk or put weight on my leg until it stops. I was in tears at work today b/c I was in the middle of the hallway and couldn't move and then it went away for a little and then came back.
I just came home and it came back as soon as I walked out of the bathroom....to the point that DH had to carry me to the couch b/c I couldn't put weight on my right leg.
What am I suppose to do? anyone know ways to help with this b/c if this is going to be an everyday thing I'm gonna lock myself inside b/c the pain is so intense when it happens.
Re: Extreme sciatic nerve pain...please help!!!
It's the worst pain I've ever felt!!! I don't know what to do if I'm in a store and it happens b/c I literally can't move
I actually slept really good last night with my pillows so this sucks that I have this
yep, heat. I also get a lot of H backrubs.
If you're getting near-crippling pain though, talk to your doctor about it. They can give you some techniques & exercises to help deal with the pain, and to try & work out the knot when you get it.
This for sure! Physical Therapy might help like pp said, but I swear by my chiropractic care. Others might say that the chiropractor might not help in the situation but I feel like it wouldn't hurt you any more and my chiropractor is all about total care (including massage therapy).
What exactly is true sciatica pain? I can't imagine it being more painful then this b/c I can't even move when it happens.
I found out my obgyn has a guy come in every Wed morning to help with the PG ladies who are having back issues so I'm gonna ask about it tomorrow at my appt.
Life As We Know It: my Blog
All good advise above! I just thought I would mention a few things my dr told me. When standing try to always stand on both feet equally and never just on 1 leg or the other (this is actually easier said than done) make sure to bend at the knees and don't bend at the waist. Heating pads really help me a lot.
