Since I had no idea what I was having. I remember my mom asking the doctor "What is it?" then she looked and said that she was a she and the entire room cheered. All I remember saying was "Yay!" And that I could do it all over again.
I made it past my goal I nursed for 1 year and 6 weeks! Im so proud of myself!
Well my first son came out bald and pale lol When Dominic came out he had dark skin and lots of black hair, I remember saying "omg, thats my baby? He looks nothing like me" haha

when they handed her to me I said "hey I'm your momma" Then I kissed her. I kept it somewhat together until I notice my husband bawling & that's when I lost it! LOL!
Seriously. Lol. I was team green and some how convinced myself that I was having a boy. But I think I repeated "I just had a baby?!" about thirty times over the next hour. It didn't hit me until I saw her for the first time in the NICU a few hours later.
We were team green, and everybody had me convinced it was a boy - the nurses in l&d even thought it was a boy, so when the baby came out and the dr said "Its a girl" I started bawling looked at my husband and said "I have a daughter!!" The first thing I said to her, was "Hi, sweet baby"
According to everyone in the room I looked down at her and said "I know, sweetie. It sucked for me too." I have zero recollection of anything from the immense relief of the final push to midway through my first meal.
I remember saying she is a girl (as if I did not trust the sonagram) then I turned to DH and said I am never doing this again. My epi wore off so I felt everything at the end.
I don't remember exactly..... but I think it was "oh my gosh!"
I had a c-section, so they lifted her over the curtain really quick before cleaning her up. It was quick, but that image will remain in my head forever!

I had a c-section. As the doctor was trying to get the baby out he mentioned he was huge. I asked if it was still a boy, and he said yes. lol. Then I asked him how big he thought he was and he mentioned definitely over 8lns. Then the nurse yelled out "10 pounds!".
i had a c section and i think i just kept saying "is she ok?", "is she ok?" because i couldn't see her. DH jumped up and saw her before they brought her over to me and he he said "baby, she has your lips!!!"......it was a joke between us about wanting her to have my eyes and lips and his hair.
and i remember the nurses saying "look at that hair!!!"......she was born with a full head of black hair and all the other babies in the nursery at the time were bald.

I remember asking if it was actually a girl (I have known too many ultrasounds that were wrong) and saying "finally, she's here" (after 30 hours of labor, it was a great big sigh of relief to say that....). I also remember my husband looking at the clock and saying "5:32". Then after that everything is a blur.....

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
I think I said something like "Is he/she ok?" with each of mine. None of mine seemed to cry right away. DD#2 took forever to cry but she was breathing. Freaked me out to no end.
I had a c-section. The Doctor held her up over the curtain and the first thing I said was"Oh my God! Look at all that hair!!!!!" Followed by "She is a girl, right?" I was amazed that she had a head full of hair. I just figured she would be bald.
Aww I love this game. When I first saw her I just started to cry and then I look at her and said oh my gosh mom her nose is not straight. All the things that I thought of and I said this. My daughter is going to hate me if she asks me this question! But her nose if just fine now lol.
I was unable to speak because I was so relieved that he was breathing. All I could do for a long time was cry. I think the first thing I said was probably "ok" after the Dr told me it was going to take a long time to stitch me up. Then one of the nurses commented about me shivering, and I told them I was freezing.
ETA: my first thought, after "thank God he's alive" was that he looked Arab.
To say I was tired is an understatement...I fell asleep between contractions. I don't remember what I said, only what my mom and DH remembered.
When they gave him to me, I thought 'what a funny looking kid'. After that, my mom and DH said I kept screaming for DH to get him before I dropped him. I was back to sleep right after that.
The first thing I said was, "He's purple." And he was, but he pinked up very quickly. After that, there was just a lot of cooing about how cute he was.
"He has my nose." DH and I each have very distinctive, but very different, noses.
When DH brought him over to me, and I gave Bean a kiss, I said, "Hey, sweetheart."

DD was 7 weeks early and I had sever pre-e. I had a c-section and was extremely drudged. Can't remember a whole lot from that day. We were team green. I remember when the pulled her out they were commenting about how feisty she was and I remember having to ask what I had. When they told me I had a girl, I looked at my husband and just took in the excitement in his eyes. He wanted a girl SO BAD. lol. Then I remember, reminding my doc that she was wrong and that I have a daughter! Throughout my pregnancy my doc kept calling baby a boy & the 1st time we thought she had spilled the beans because she quickly tried to catch herself and told me that when we were in the delivery room and I had a girl to remind her that she was wrong.
The first thing I said to DD was, "Hi gorgeous, I'm your Mama."
I had big plans to quickly shout "You're the youngest person in the world!" My husband and I thought that would be funny--of course, in the actual moment, I just said something like "Oh my gosh! I love you!"
Re: What was the first thing you said when LO was born?

Well, I can't remember what I said except maybe "Let me see her" (I had a c-section)
I do remember what my OB said, which was: "She's tiny! (Then she turned to DH) And she's still a girl!"
My DH insisted that I might be having a boy up until the day Tegan was born, lol! It became a running joke between the OB and him.
I like this game
I said "Holy crap, she's huge".....wasn't expecting a 9 lb baby at all.
"Hey Baby, I love you." Which is weird to me b/c we called her by her name since finding out the gender. I have no idea why I called her "baby."
Sidenote: I remember immediately looking at her hair. I was sooooo afraid she'd get DH's hair.
"I just had a baby?! And it's a girl?!"

shh don't cry.. Hi E, I'm your mommy.. Hi... I love you..
::aww now I am getting all choked up again!::

Oh fun!
The first thing I said was, "oh my God, look how long his toes are!"
All the things I could of said and I was concerned with how long his toes were
YAY! 8 months ago today the first thing I said after having Max was "Oh my gawd that hurt...does he have hair?!"
For some reason I was obsessed with whether or not he was going to have hair!
My DH was obsessed too! When I was pushing he kept getting all excited about seeing her hair and I kept telling him that I didn't effing care.
I don't remember exactly..... but I think it was "oh my gosh!"

DD looked exactly like DS when he was born. I couldn't believe it.

"Really?" In response to the dr and nurses guessing he'd be double digits in weight.
Then I said "holy sh!t" when they told me he was 10lbs 6oz.
