I'm only going into cycle 2, but I've already convinced myself why my EDD for each cycle would be great timing.
This month:
- 1st tri would end at Thanksgiving, just in time to tell the fam and not feel like crap at Christmas and be sporting a nice bump for the holidays
- 2nd tri would end just before the Lady Gaga concert I have tickets for in March so I wouldn't be tooooo miserable.
- Best of all, EDD would be the day before our 2 year anniversary!
A girl can dream, right? I have a feeling I'm not the only one who does this. How about everyone else?
Re: Poll-ish - Why would a BFP this cycle be perfect timing?
I am self-employed and work on the fiscal year calendar so a mid-May birth would be BEYOND ideal. It would allow for me to take more than 6 weeks off.
I like the idea of my baby being more than a couple months old before the flu/cold season at daycare.
I am less likely to feel isolated and stir crazy with a newborn if we can go for longer walks outside.
My family is expecting me to start ttc this winter and this would allow for a better surprise!

#4!!!!!!! due June 2017
I would be due in May, giving me weeks off at the end of school, plus all summer.
Doubtful it will happen, but I can hope!
We plan to tell our parents pretty much right away...I have a test date of 9/11 so we could send them something cute on grandparents day to announce
Also, if I have a May or June due date that means I would get to be home for the summer with DS (no summer camp expenses)
It would also be really nice not to feel like crap at Christmas when grandparents come down.
(I could just eat up sexy chace Crawford
)
This month would be perfect timing for us because I would have the baby before a wedding that I am in mid July.
I thought about the holiday bump too. If this would have been my cycle, the timing would have been good because my SIL is getting married in July and the baby would have been about 2 months by then, so I would have been a little more comfortable leaving him/her with my parents while we were at the wedding and I have a feeling we will end up with a house full of people.
I also thought that having the whole summer off would be nice too.
Oh well, I'm sure there will be other great reasons with this next cycle coming up.
Giving birth in May would be perfect for me because...
It's a good time of year for DH to take his paternity leave (5 weeks), and when that time ends, my mom would be off work for the summer (elementary school secretary) to help.
I'd be back at work in time for a super important event in July 2012... but not early enough to have to do all of the intense prep for it!
Oscar born October 2011
Miscarriage at 8 weeks (August 2013)
DD due September 1, 2014
The first trimester would be ending riiiight at Christmas which would be perfect for my Christmas card/way to tell our extended family and friends that we are expecting. I am not holding my breath that this will happen.

this is making me a bit sad because I am pretty sure I am not pregnant
BUT, May would be ideal, because then I would not be pregnant when we move (in July most likely, and possibly overseas)
Only one midwife/MD to care for me if I don't move, which would be great..
I can tell my family in person I am pregnant at Christmas when I travel to see them
I won't be pregnant throught the heat of the summer!
DS born via unplanned C-section at 40w6d
A BFP this cycle would be perfect because:
1. We would have conceived the night we were celebrating our 3rd anniversary (which was actually 2 days after our real anniversary) AND had some of the best sex of our marriage.
2. My phantom due date right now is May 13th, which is my 26th BIRTHDAY!
3. My family could really use a pick-me-up right now with all that my dad is going through.
4. I would be due the month BEFORE we have to move again (dang Army). If I get pregnant next cycle it will cause some major problems b/c we will either be moving 9 months pregnant or with a newborn. Eek!

This is my first cycle off bcp, and I'm mostly a lurker, but I like this poll
This would be perfect for us b/c...
1. I'm going to relocate for DH's job, but not until late winter. It would be great to just be able to stay home for the end of pregnancy up until I'm ready to sent a baby to daycare. If I don't get pregnant within the next couple cycles, I really should search harder for a job right away
2. I live far away from home, so I could keep this a secret for awhile. It would be fun to show up at x-mas with a bit of a bump and let people know that way (if I could really keep quiet that long
).

My bday is May 13th too! I see this as a sign for you
And I read about your dad in one of your posts - T&Ps to you!

May is a great birthday month, and I'm still a-stalkin' you with fingers crossed for that good looking chart!
My Blog - Taking You Home
1. Because DH and I are celebrating our first anniversary next month and I am creating a photo book of all our memories from year one. I'd love the end of the book to be something about the future baby... a girl can dream, right?
2. Having the baby in May would mean I could take the summer off. It'd be perfect!
For now, a BFP would mean we got in just at the year mark, so no testing (already talked to doctor about it; waiting to hear from insurance)!
For due date, I think it would be sometime around the end of May, early June.
Work-wise, that would be great because then I wouldn't have to deal with my hellish once-a-year project (though, I'd have to train someone).
DH-wise, he'd get to have his first Father's Day.
Um, and I guess I would be off for most of the summer.
And, in the beginning, I came up with every possible "this would be the perfect cycle" I could--birthdays, anniversaries, holidays. I don't so much do that anymore.
DD was born 2 weeks after we moved into our current house.....definitely NOT fun! Good Luck!
Thanks, but notice the glaring (-) this morning. =( I know it's early, but I had to test. I've been sick and I really REALLY wanted to not feel bad about taking cold medicine today! Why do those pink control lines have to be SO pink and the white test space have to be SO white!!!??? Bastards. They do it on purpose.

It's not exactly the perfect time but it is what it its. If we get pg this cycle, there are a few conferences and a possible European trip happening next May/June that we would probably miss out on. But it won't be the end of the world. The pros seem to outweigh the cons on this one.
- EDD would be almost identical to my sons EDD. So that means I wouldn't have to buy many new maternity clothes since I'll be in the same stages of pregnancy through the seasons.
- I'll have a little bump for the holidays like last time.
- We'll get to announce the pg to our family when we go on vacation with them in October.
- My children and DH will all have close birthdays.
- My son will be just over 2, which to me seems to be a good space between ages.
- Pregnancy will be over before the heat of the summer.
Crap! I don't think that was there when I looked this morning. Still keeping an eye on you...

My phantom EDD is May 31, 2011.
Reasons why this is awesome:
1) Summer in my profession = strenuous field work. I would be pregnant during the winter when all you do is sit in the office and do data analysis.
2) Huge pregnant belly for the nice spring weather = cute clothes!
3) Having a child in the spring means you get to take them out and about in the summer. I had DD in October and felt so cooped up all winter.
I want a May baby so badly! Last cycle my EDD was May 4th. Since this cycle is May 31st, maybe I'm getting a second chance....??

My 13th bday was on Friday the 13th! Didn't realize it's happening next year. I'll be the big 3-0!

A mid-May due date would be great because I wouldn't be pregnat during the summer and my brother and niece's B-day is on may 20th and 21st. It would be neat to have my baby's B-day around the same time as theirs.
1. EDD would be around May 24th, my mom's bday is 6/6 and our anniversary is 5/5, and there are no bdays in our family from March to June..
2. Being pg in the summer in GA sucks and would be even worse with a toddler!
3. I could take a 2 week vacation to the beach and not have to use PTO!
Exactly this!! I was thinking the other day how miserable I was just running to walmart in this heat! And DH says "omg imagine if you were 8 months pg right now, you'd be the worst" lol...needless to say I'm a fall/winter kind of girl
11.10.10 from my belly to my heart at 11wks 5days
My 10th was on Friday the 13th...wait...that doesn't make sense does it? If you are turning 30 and I'm turning 26 then that would make us 4 years apart. Hmm....I SWEAR it was my 10th birthday b/c I remember it was a big deal b/c I finally was able to get my ears pierced and I had a huge sleepover.
Well anyway that birthday was nuts b/c it stormed like crazy the night of my sleepover (tornadoes too) and all the girls at my party ended up fighting and crying and wanting to go home. It was AWFUL and I always blamed it on being on Friday the 13th!
