I laughed today because when I went to the doctor, I was 200 lbs. I am 6'1 and started at 163, so 200 lbs isn't unreasonable. But man, it's depressing! My husband is 6'5 and 210 lbs, so I can't believe I'm getting so close to him! I know it's not a big deal and numbers don't mean much, it's just overall weight gain and even that doesn't mean much, but I sure don't enjoy seeing the good old 200. Anyone else?
Re: Speaking of weight.... has anyone hit the 200 lb mark?
I was 200 lbs. when I got pregnant, so yep! Now I'm at 215! It's just a number. If ya feel good and don't look so bad, I don't really pay attention to weight. It's all about how you carry yourself. I'm still very healthy and active, so I think all of that put together is what matters!
I must say though, you're tall...200 isn't much!!
Ha. My doctor's office has a digital scale, so there's no avoiding it. It's just bam, right there in your face. The worst is, that it's in the bathroom and they ask me to weigh myself when I pee in the cup and then tell them what it is!! I have to actually say it!! It's tempting to lie, but what would be the point? LOL
*looks up to see the previous posters'*
you ladies are TALL!
I'm 5'2. If I hit 200 I would be a sphere.
Uhg, I hit it a while ago, and totally cried that day.
I am 5'8" and started at 177 (about 20 pounds overweight for me). I am now sitting at 217, only about 3 pounds from outweighing DH.
I wont tell you EXACTLY how much but I am over the 200lb mark... I was close to begin with so I SHATTERED it hehehe

Your OB is totally right. I gained 60 lbs with my first son! I lost it all, no problem without doing much (granted I know it's not like that for everyone), so don't worry! 27 lbs isn't bad at all! I am happy with 37 at full term, since last time, it was 60. lol
Love your pic. I am a huge Cal fan. Go Bears!
I hit 200 lbs in college.
I haven't been below it since.
Unable to even.

prettty much this...except it wasn't yesterday. It was a couple appts ago
Over 200 lbs. Started at 174. I knew it would happen - wanted to not gain more than 25 to stay under but, nope.
At last appointment my husband actually asked my weight when I came back to the examination room and I just said, "I am not going to tell you".
He said what - like 185? I said you are insane - I started at 174 - that would be a miracle if I was only at 185 right now. Ha Ha - he has no concept of weight!
Soooo glad not to be there yet. I'm only 5'5" and tipping the scale at 175 has done a number on my mental well being
I am still about 10-15 pounds less than DH right now though
I was thinking the same thing!!! But I'm 5'2 1/4" so I'm taller than you

Just catching up on here now and I am also now in this club. I am 204 lbs now. I have never weighed this much in my life. I am 5'11'' and started out at 160ish at the beginning of this pregnancy. (I have always been pretty top heavy but other than that, everyone has always called me a "bean pole" or a "tall glass of water") I do still have chicken legs, though I have had a case of the cankles twice so far this summer. (Also, another new wonderful thing for me...ha)
My dr. and the nurses at the office always say they can't believe my weight bc according to them, I don't "look like I weigh that at all" DH says this, too. I haven't told anyone else my weight bc well, nobody has asked and I don't think I would feel super comfortable giving that info out.
So glad I am not alone though. What a relief. Thanks for posting this.
I am right there with you... I was well over 200 when I got pregnant.. closer to the 275 mark... bad I know, but I have only gained about 5lbs this whole pregnancy. I did the same with DD, I never gained much weight. I just know that after DD#2 is born I need to start doing things different with my diet and exercizing.
Good gravy, there's a lot of tall wimmins on thebump!
194lbs, 5'3" represent.
I am 5'3 and at 196lbs! I started at 150!
I try not to worry about the whole weight deal!
It all works out at the end....
