DD is a peanut. She has been since birth. Her doc is happy with her growth rate and she's doing great developmentally wise.
I know people just have to give their opinions, wanted or not, but I'm tired of the "wow, she's really little" type comments.
Humor me with your LO's weight at 12-13 months?
I'm not concerned about her since she eats great and her doc is happy, but I am a little curious where she fits in size wise.
DD is right at 18 lbs.
Re: I have a boring question.
20 lbs, 9 oz at 12 months.
DD was 23 lbs at her appointment 1 1/2 months ago. She's already in some clothes for 24months - 2T.
I always hear how she looks big for her age. I'm not worried about it either though because she is healthy and happy.

And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
DD was 18 pounds at her one year appointment.
At two, she weighs about 25 pounds.

DD is right there with your LO. She has been wearing the same clothes since Christmas - mostly 6-9 mo. She was 18 lb + some oz at 12 months.
DD is also a super active, big eating baby. I honestly have no idea why she is so little. I don?t worry, but all those comments really do start scratching away at my confidence. I have to ask our doctor to remind me that she?s healthy every once in a while
Last time, she pointed out that the healthy/normal range for breast-fed infants is wider than for formula-fed. The CDC chart is based on formula-fed; the WHO chart is for breast-fed. DD is more like 25th percentile on the WHO chart, compared to ~15th percentile on CDC.
I was 18 lbs at 1 year; babies on my side tend to be peanuts. My niece is the same age as my boys and she was 18 lbs at 1 year too.
My boys' 1-year weights were 21 lbs 7 oz (Will) and 23 lbs even (Alex).
Growing Up Olson
He's 22 lbs just shy of 12 months. He was a little peanut when he was born but now I have to hear about how ginormous he is. I'm like, not really, he's right around the 50th percentile.
People will find something to comment about no matter what!
DS was 28lbs at 1yr.
Mine was 26lbs at 11months. Don't get upset when people make those kinds of comments, I am sure they aren't meant to be disparaging.
There is nothing wrong with being little, and there is nothing wrong with being big. I get comments about my son being a behemoth all the time (not the actual word used) and I never get offended. He is who he is, and that's just fine.
He's tall, he's meaty, its constantly assumed that he is at least 6 months older than he is, but hey, who cares. He's healthy, and he's happy.
