  • DD had her appt. this morning. I can't remember the exact number, it is in her book, but it was 19 and some change. She only gained about a pound since her 9 mo. appt. I asked the pedi and he said it was fine, they slow down with the growth around this age and they are so active and burn a lot more calories. Tell people to mind their business.
  • I have an infant scale...my DD was 19 pounds exactly as of yesterday.

    It's OK to be petite!

  • DD was 22 lb 11 oz at 12 mo. She's 31.5 inches though, so she looks pretty long and lean.

  • Ha! Your DD is a moose compared to mine! :) She was just under 16 lbs. at her 1 year checkup. At her 18 month she was 17 lbs. I'm waiting to see what she is next month! I'm hoping she's at least 20 lbs. by Christmas so we can turn her around in her car seat to make room for LO #2!

I ignore the 'she's tiny' comments. Nobody really asks if there's any concern from the doctor. Most ask if I was the same way and I was. I obviously had zero issues putting weight on when I got older!! :)

  • We had our one year appt today and DD is 18 lbs 8 oz.  Like your doc, our doc is fine with that.  Personally I am not surprised my DD is smaller just because I have always been a thinner person.  Doc mentioned today that DD is small, meaning she is skinny and has a smaller frame, but she is in 75th percentile for height.
  • DD was 18 lbs at her 12 month appt also. She just had her 18 month appt and is up to 24 lbs. As long as she's growing my pedi says she's doing fantastic! I know how it feels to have a little peanut too. :)

  • 20lbs 4.5oz at 12m. He is insanely active and has been since about 6m so his weight gain has really slowed.
  • At his 12 month check up, DS was 32.5 inches long and 21 lbs
