Mow the lawn...especially in this heat. But DH is out of town and so it must be mowed. And I am a huge AW about it becuase I'm flipping 27 weeks pregnant and it's flipping hot outside! I deserve a cookie and a foot rub.
Putting my arms above my head. I was sitting in my office yesterday and I had my arms stretched up resting on my head while I was reading something on my screen. This lady walked by and freaked. Told me I would strangle my baby, said I was making her nervous and asked that I please my arms down. I proceeded to do the "YMCA" with enthusiasm. She left.

You absolutely do! AND a back rub! My mom always bragged a little that she was mowing the lawn when she was 9 months pregnant with me... I always thought she was a little crazy...
I don't think there's really anything people are surprised I'm still doing, except maybe still hauling my very pregnant butt up into my big ass truck. Strangely, I find it easier to get into my truck than into DHs mid-size SUV! haha

I don't think I'm doing anything very impressive now, but I was doing deep fit classes up until a few weeks ago (until I couldn't keep up any more) and I still go for a few 6km walks per week, which has been harder to do in the heat.

We are taking DD to Sea World and Epcot next week and everyone keeps asking me if I am going to get a wheelchair...um no! I am pregnant, not disabled!!!

I still mow the yard.. Do the Yard work, I love weeding & I pressure washed the driveway over the weekend... Plus I do all the house work, cook 4 times a week and still work full time.. I cant sit still!!! But DH does do all the laundry cause I cant reach in to the washer... LOL
I was going into the main doors of my condo complex today and carrying some shopping bags and my purse. I'm a weakling anyways, so I assume you the bags were very light. Another older woman coming in at the same time held the first door open for me and said with pursed lips that I shouldn't be carrying stuff like that. Then we both stopped to get the mail from our mailboxes. Ours of course is in the top row and I have to reach way in and go on my toes to feel around for the mail. She then tells me I shouldn't be reaching up like that or wearing those flip flops on my feet. I just smiles and said "Oh, I'm okay, thanks though." Then she proceeded to watch me struggle to open the main door with my key because it got stuck in the door, without helping me! I guess she didn't like that I wasn't welcoming of all her advice.

Mowing the lawn -- DH is in the Navy and out to sea most of the time, and our lawn isn't huge, so it takes me like 15 mins, maybe 20. I can't be bothered paying someone else to do it. I figure it's good exercise, but it does get rather hot.
The biggest shocker for people -- I'm still riding. I stopped riding the younger horse last week because his stride is big and powerful and it was starting to hurt as my hips and joints loosened up, so I figured my body was telling me it was time to stop riding him. But my older guy is easy-going and more comfortable, so I'm still riding him, just not doing very much. Hopefully I can ride him for another couple weeks. Non-horse people (and some horse people) are always shocked, but I am riding two horses I know well and trust and not taking any chances, and my balance is amazingly still good enough that I'm not thrown off balance if they do something slightly silly. Mind you I was in good riding shape when I got pregnant, which makes a huge difference. I have friends that rode until a couple weeks before they gave birth, and others that stopped after they got a positive HPT, so it's a personal choice. But it always bugs me that people who don't know anything about horses and riding act as if I just told them that in my spare time I'm skydiving and frequenting tequila bars.
Going to the gym every day. I can't go again until my appt next Thurs. (modified bedrest because I was in L & D for contrax), but up until the last weekend I was going daily. Nearly every time I mention I'm headed to the gym or still going I get such confused responses!
Apparently, anything at all! I try to do something at work or out with the kids and people are always like "should you be doing that?". I still pick up both my 35 lb 4 year old and my 53 lb 6 year old (though I don't carry her for very long). We've been doing nature hikes and zoo trips and science centers--trying to get all the "fun" in before the baby comes and everyone always yells at me for it or thinks I'm insane--especially in the heat. But, the last thing I want to do is tell the kids we can't do this or that because of their baby sister--nothing like starting the resentment before she's even born!

Working. Literally all of my friends and family ask me why I'm still working on a consistent basis...I thought it was normal but apparently they find it odd.
I've always been a floor sitter. I will grab a cushion and plop on the floor. I still do it, mostly without thinking about it, until I realize that getting up is gonna be a real b!tch! I love watching my friend's faces though when I plop my round self on the floor.

That I'm still working - but I mainly get this from older people (ie grandparents) and wearing heels. Two of my work pants are longer and so i can't wear flats with them so i bought some old lady looking heels instead of the higher 'fancier' ones i used to wear.

just being pregnant again shocks most people. I have a 3.5yo, and a 16m old. This pregnancy was unplanned and pure irresponsiblity while I was still breastfeeding.
DH will be doing his part to prevent anymore of these mishaps. We did want a third, just later on. But, we're excited!
Being vertical. Apparently the consensus with those around me think that just b/c I'm having twins means that I absolutely must go on bedrest and why aren't I on bedrest yet. I don't get it. I realize multiples have an increased risk of complications, but so far so good for me. Complication free so far (knock on wood) I've been taking it easy, but I don't need to be on bedrest for no good reason people.

One of my students expressed his surprise that I was still wearing heels after a 12hr (mostly on my feet) work day. Of course, I didn't tell him my feet hurt no matter what type of shoes I wear, so they might as well look cute.
I'm still working 40+ hours a week, night shift, covering 2 ultrasound departments. All my patients are like, do you need to be pushing me around on a stretcher? I just never dreamed of taking off before the due date. However, now that I am 37.3 weeks, I am starting to reconsider. It is hard to walk around the hospital for 10 hours 4 nights a week! I just hated to start my FMLA and use it before LO got here.
My DH has a 20x30 party tent that he sets up as a weekend hobby/side income throughout the summer. I've always helped with carrying the equipment, assembling the aluminum poles, holding up a side as he begins putting it up. Obviously I'm not doing the heavy lifting (the bag of poles is probably about 35-40lbs, and DH now carries it; the stakes are about 8lbs each, and I only carry 1 in each hand now instead of 2 per hand), but still go with him each time and still bend over to put the poles together, and put the tennis balls on the stakes when he's done. It's always funny to see people's reactions when they seem me doing this.

Re: What are you still doing that people are shocked that you are still doing?
You deserve an entire day at the spa. I am mega impressed.
I am not doing too much these days due to some complications but, I was still cooking 5 meals a week from scratch until about 34 weeks.
crystal meth.
OMG totally kidding. it was just my first response. actually people yell at me all the time about carrying my 2-1/2 yr old DS. that's it though...
and props to you! if it was me, i would just let the grass grow lol! get some ice cream :-) you deserve it!

I played golf until about a month ago. Mowed the lawn too. Now I'm just a big lazy couch potato.
I still find it easy to shave my legs, though. Don't understand the difficulty with that.
