So I'm watching the show and crocheting away on the couch and they have a little quiz before and after commercials. The question was "True or False, You can have bleeding, like a light menstrual flow, during your pregnancy?" They said the answer is False and any bleeding is a bad sign and you should call 911 or your doctor.
Is that true? I thought some spotting was OK. 911Really?? Wise ladies what have you heard?
PS. The lady gave birth in her bath tub and nursed the baby they went to sleep with him and didn't go to the doctor for 2 days!!
Re: I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant - On TLC
I'm watching that too. I guess the difference is bleeding versus spotting. I picture light menstrual flow as red flow.
This one is nuts...I can't believe she didn't go straight to the hospital, especially b/c she said she was worried about her smoking and no prenatal care. I guess that kind of experience really messes with your head.
BSC hahaha! I've had an ovarian cyst and believe me if you don't go to the ER you are crazy.
OMG she had PCOS too!
That show drives me insane! I can't watch it now that I'm actually TTC myself. There was one episode where the woman had twins...really?!?!
Deep breaths...change the channel
DH and I watched this episode last night and he was like...this show is like a trainwreck! The lady had twins and didn't know she was pregnant? To me that's really crazy. I can not understand how you don't notice that. But I have never been pregnant, so maybe it is possible and I just can't wrap my head around it.
I've been pregnant twice and both times knew right away, When I was 7 weeks, I had weird fluttering feelings and was super tired. I never made it past 10 weeks so I don't know how movement further along feels, but it was definitely a feeling.
I think denial plays a huge fact in these episodes.
When I was pregnant, there was absolutely no mistaking it. OK, I am quite thin, but the movement! I would sit in meetings at work hoping no one else could see my stomach jumping. I just don't know how you wouldn't feel a full term 6 or 7 pound infant moving around inside you.
(I'm addicted to that show anyway though! Definitely trainwreck! Running to check DVR now to see if I have an episode.)
