@missblaze me too! This rain isn't helping. There's a huge atrium with a glass ceiling right outside my office and I can hear the rain pounding down and it's putting me to sleep.
Just a general announcement: I'm in a really good mood because I resolved an awful work situation AND I am finding time to Bump today, so I am love tit-ing ALL of your symptoms because I am loving reading them but NOT because you are experiencing them.
@EmilyLove25 Glad you got the awful situatuin resolved! Cheers!
I dreamed again last night the baby was born. It was a boy, born in Novemeber and weighed 7lbs and change. In my dream I was like, wow! guess my EDD was way off! Haha, no way. Several days later my DH and I were like oh, ya, we forgot to name him. I've got to start sleeping better so I stop dreaming crazy things.
Acid reflux has started for me too. It's random, and Tums keep it in check, but it is starting WAY earlier than last time. Other than that, I don't really have any major symptoms/complaints. Just tired all the dang time.
This is probably the most FTM thing to say ever, but I just cannot get over how movement went from something I felt occasionally (once, maybe twice a week) to something that is just constant overnight. I'm not surprised baby is active, my doctor has told me they were unusually active over and over since we started using the doppler at my appointments, but I'm surprised how overnight I went from feeling no movement at all on Monday, to being the host of a dance party on Tuesday.
@auntieraindrop Yes! I'm so on the same train with the sudden increase of movement. It is happening so much more now. Also, I noticed the feeling of the movement changed too. What felt more like gas bubbles now feels more like gentle thumping. Makes me wonder if I was feeling movement at all or if it was wishful thinking/gas...
@auntieraindrop it's so great to feel the increase and strength in the movements. I keep telling people I can tell he is growing and getting stronger in there. Rewind to my last pregnancy at the end of it I was like "ugh she has the hiccups again??" Haha!
@trudytudy I have totally uttered that statement multiple times. I swear DS had hiccups 5-10 times a day for the whole third trimester. It was cute at first. Not so much by the end...
Gosh Dang it. I had my anatomy scan and found out that I have an anterior placenta, again, and that I have to take the GD test at 20 weeks. Last time she had me take the GD test early, which I passed, and again at 26 weeks, and passed again. So I figured she'd have me do it again. I'm really surprised about the anterior placenta this time because I've been feeling some movement here or there since 14 weeks. Last time I didn't feel anything till 24 weeks.
Little man is kicking away, mostly at night! I'm getting concerned about my heart rate. I know due to the increased blood flow that heart palpitations are normal, but they are occurring very frequently and make it very difficult to breathe at times. DH didn't believe me, so I had him place his hand and feel the skipping, he said that doesn't feel quite right.
Of course, my anatomy scan is supposed to be Tuesday but I'm guessing it will get cancelled from the hurricane. Public schools have closed tomorrow-Tuesday.
@Dani0329 I mentioned it to my OB today too because I've noticed my heart rate going up and she said that it's definitely because of the increased blood flow. Just to set your mind at ease.
@supercoolstephy Anterior placenta club over here too and I've also been feeling movement since about 14 weeks. I like to put it down to being hyper aware of what's going on with my body and being on baby number 2 so I know what's actually movement and what's just gas

The tech didn't say anything about it at my anatomy scan but I saw she put in the notes that I have an anterior placenta too. No idea what it was last time, but I started feeling movement at 18 weeks this time.
Feeling super nauseous after my breakfast this morning and slept like crap last night due to a nightmare about a baby shower I'm hosting next week. Trying to figure out how long I want to wait to see if the nausea passes or if I just want to call it and head home to try to sleep. Bleh.
@gusgus14 I randomly felt nauseous the other day with body aches. I still feel like I'm fighting something off - no overt symptoms today but just feeling tired and crappy. Hopefully it passes quickly for you!
Part of the nasuea club. I think because I have been fighting something off. Whatever it is has started winning. Feel like absolute crap today. Stuffy head, coughing and just overall bleh. @gusgus14 and @missblaze Hopefully we will all kick whatever is going on soon.
Baby hasn't been moving as much. I'll feel occasional kicks, but not as much as I have been.
Exhausted. DH brought home a cold from work and gave it to DS. DS was up ALL night crying and being fussy. Now I have a headache and sneezed a few times. Not looking forward to actual cold and flu season.
It is a pregnancy symptom to be completely lacking motivation at work? No? Darn it... Well I am along with feeling jittery. Maybe the jitters are from the extra blood flow OP have mentioned, but I feel like I've overdosed on caffeine/sugar. I had my standard 1 cup of coffee today and feel like I had 3 cups plus a rockstar.
Pregnancy insomnia STINKS I'm hardly functioning at work today because I was up half the night. Anyone else suffering? I guess it's only hit a few times, but it's just not fun.
Yes @ReadytoRun77 I've gone back to the first tri Unisom a couple nights a week so I can function. My eyes burn I'm so tired then at night I can't go to or stay asleep
Count me in on the needing to pee in the middle of the night club.. except I'm stubborn in my half asleep mode and refuse to get up so I end up going back to sleep. Then when I wake up in the morning my bladder hates me and feels super uncomfortable
Also lots of lower back pain. Someone told me recently if you've had an epidural then you'll experience pain in that area (?)
So DH came home from visiting his sister with a bad chest cold and this morning his doctor gave him a bunch of prescription meds (antihistamine, codeine, albuterol inhaler, etc) and has been staying away from me. Tonight I'm feeling a bit of a tickle in my throat with some coughing starting. I'm going to call my OB in the morning to find out, but in the meantime what remedies have worked with you guys when you came down with colds while pregnant?
I've been drinking tea with honey and lemon and using cough drops, but is robitussin safe? sudafed? this is the first (possible) cold i've had since becoming pregnant, so don't know what the best things are...
@caseyw8784 pregnancy colds are the worst! Lots of fluid, rest, breathe right strips, and Vicks. The last one I had wasn't the worst cold I've ever had but it was still miserable. Some people recommend a neti pot but I was too congested for that to work. You could try a neti pot right now to get a jump on it.
@caseyw8784 neti pot or boiling apple cider vinegar and inhaling the steam work really well for me! I believe Sudafed is a no-no, but check with your doc. I know for sure you can't take it while BFing.
My doc gave me Flonase to survive my wedding day, but aside from that emergency situation, I've stuck to mild remedies like hot lemon water with honey, Gatorade, sore throat drops, and breathing steam.
@caseyw8784 I am able to treat most cold symptoms with essential oils when pregnant. Upside, it works. Downside, I find about the 4 hour mark I have to reapply.
@Dani0329 my anatomy scan is on Monday but I don't think I want to be driving in the rain and wind
I'm only 19+2 but on Wednesday, I noticed it had been 2 days since I hadn't felt the baby move. I wasn't too worried at first because it's still early, but I thought I'd call the OB just to be safe. They had me go in for an emergency ultrasound and she was doing fine. And now since yesterday, she's been moving around like crazy! I'm glad I went in though, since I'll most likely miss my AS appointment on Monday, at least I got to see her!
I've been waking up every day at 4:30 am, like fully alert and energized. I'm contemplating if I should just get up at that time and be productive
I'm really praying my appointment doesn't get cancelled since the storm moved a little bit more west and my appointment is on Tuesday, but it doesn't look good.
A doctor in our area was forced out after potential drug use and just up and left with no notice with tons of women about to deliver and tons of women who had just delivered, my doctor took most of these patients and I am worried about scheduling if the appointment gets cancelled.
Due to different complications this is the first time I have gone a full 4 weeks without checking on the babe.
