Requirements for Zofran prescription?

I am nauseated like 90% of each day, but I am not actually vomiting. I wonder if my doctor will write me a prescription, or is Zofran just for people who are puking 24/7? Opinions ladies?

    Your Dr. should prescribe it since Zofan helps with both nausea and vomiting...(according to my Dr.)  Also...the definition of M/S is actually the intense nausea and is sometimes accompanied by vomiting.

    I just went to the doctor today and got prescribed both zofran and phergan   ?sp.  and i have pretty much the same situation as you.  but I was also told that the zofran is a last resort because it can give headaches and constipation (as if I didn't have them already!  LOL).

    Thanks for the advice, ladies! I really appreciate it. It sounds like CAN take Zofran, after all. That gives me something to hope for. Oh, and my 1st app. is August 9. It seems so far away!!

    I called in yesterday, and they called me in an RX for Zofran.  My OB wrote me another script today at my appt for more.  Call and ask for it!  It's a life saver!
